• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Moles on paint.

Anyone else here get black moles (that don't come out) that pop up on your paint? Possibly from dirt or pebbles or where does it come from?

That's the plastic panel showing through where the paint has chipped away. I had some deep scratches in parts of mine where some stuff fell on it in the garage, so I used it as an excuse to get a paint job. I wanted blue before BRP made a blue spyder.

Okay, here is my stupidity showing. I have looked at both sides of the trunk, and they are both blue. It looks to me like BRP used blue plastic to make the trunk (it is the only plastic I have looked at both sides). From what I am reading I guess I am wrong, so why don't BRP do this to save on paint chips?

I think they probably look at cost before they look at what would be better to stand up to paint chips. I know my panels were all made of black plastic, then painted. Unless something has changed, I'm assuming things are still the same.

Good thing I have the 3M film on the front part of the spyder. But it looks like the side panels are taking hits (showing moles). I should've covered the whole side panels with 3M as well.

So funny, I used the polisher spray from BRP and the mole came right out. It was just tough dirt that the pledge wipes couldn't pick up. Oh pledge, thought you could pick up all dirt.

If they stick up, they are probably tar. If they are indented, they are chips.

The size of it is similar to a mole, so it's hard to tell if it's sticking out or not. I usually try wiping it with a pledge wipe, then if that doesn't work I use the BRP polisher with a microfiber towel.

Pull the edge of your fingernail across it. You can usually feel it better that way. A nail will catch more on the leading edge of a bump, and the trailing edge of a divot.
