• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyders in the Redwoods

:2excited: I might be able to go to this event!! :2thumbs: It's a 10+ hour drive for me, and I'd have to leave from work (get off at 10pm). I figure I'll trailer the Spyder. I'm already off Tues/Wed, so I just have to find someone to work for me on Thursday (cough, cough... or call off sick <shhhh... don't tell anyone>). If I can get my hands on a trailer before pre-registration ends, I think I'll be there!! Long drive... but I think it will be well worth it to meet y'all in real life!! :chat:

:f_spider: on!!

Down to the last few days before the Redwoods Spyder gathering - for me, it's not the event, it's getting to it, and meeting some of the folks we chat with on the forum.

Looking forward to dinner with new friends in Grant's Pass, riding through Jedediah Smith State Park (home of the tallest redwood) - it's a cathedral that God made, and you can ride through it!!

Yes, we'll miss the formal group dinner, and the formal group ride(s), but will support the effort, and have our own kind of fun.

Our ride will include Detroit Lake, Sisters, Or, Bend, OR, Crater Lake, Grants Pass, the Rogue River highway, riding through the redwoods, a meal on the Trinidad dock, and almost 400 miles of spectacular coastline.

Let SpyderGirl know, if you want some of this too….

It's not the destination, it's the journey...

Of course, in this case, the destination is pretty awesome too. We are expecting over 80 people and 60 Spyders for our first annual Spyders in the Redwoods event.

Only 25 days to go and only 4 days left to pre-register. So what are you waiting for?? :)

Thanks for the update on the count. Sounds like we are going to have a good crowd. We are looking forward to meeting everyone and the journey.

We are leaving the Sacramento area on 7/31 (Sunday) and spending the night in Fort Bragg. Going to take our time going up the coast. Will be in Eureka sometime 8/1 (Monday). See you all there.

Can you pick me up on your way to the Redwoods ??? It's not to far out of your way is it ??? I will give you gas money !!!:roflblack:

For those of you coming from the East - watch the weather in the valley - Redding, Grant's Pass, etc. If it's really hot (90+) there, it will probably be cool (60), and wet (drizzle) in the mornings, so come prepared for temps in both ranges.

Weather on the coast rarely exceeds 80, even if it' 110 in Redding.
