Scavenger Hunt 2011

Folks,

Don't know if you saw this on another forum, but Irish2theMax has passed away. I never met Irish, but his idea for a Scavenger Hunt has entertained us for the past 18 months. I will miss his wit and patience, and pray for his family in this time of grief.

I don't think there's any real way for us to get the tally right for the Scavenger Hunt, so I'll probably drop off for the year. Thanks to all who supported Irish's game; I enjoyed your entries immensely.

Not for fame, fortune or prizes, but for the fun of it, and for Irish...

1. Town that has the same name as an animal or a bird.
3. Place name that has at least two words with the word "and" OR a hyphen in the name.
4. Town or place named after a Native American tribe or person.
5. A photo with someone from each of the following generation: 20s, 30s, 40s, etc.
6. In front of a large commercial fishing boat.
9. Live non-domesticated / non-farm animal.
10. At a historical marker.
22. Place name that begins with the letter "U".
24. At the top of a mountain. Must say "Summit" or "Peak."
26. At an International border crossing.
27. At a State Line crossing.
29. At a National Park.
33. In front of a large statute of a person mounted on a horse.
45. In front of a natural water fall.
46. At a war monument or memorial.
