• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There has to be a few Colorado riders on here....

The weather is getting nice for a Spyder ride on the highest paved road in North America... anyone know where it is without Google???

Come on Colorado.... let's ride!!!

:ohyea:

Rocky Mountain High

If my memory serves, it's Trail Ridge Road. But my forgetter is working overtime these days:)

close... but there is one higher!

Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road that connects two towns.

This one ends at a parking lot at the top... and, if you have a good telescope, you can see the Pacific and Atlantic oceans! :dontknow:

To quote Katherine Lee Bates ...

"Oh beautiful, for spacious skies ..." and the road can only be that which goes to the top of Pike's Peak:).

The highest is Mt. Evans, the highest continuos is Trail Ridge. Yup, I am from CO, not originally (non native) but since 85.

I am just curious, has anyone ever had a clear day in both directions east and west to be able to see that far????

Willy takes the prize!!! Mt. Evans, the only 14er with a "paved" road all the way to the top. Pike's Peak is dirt....

Yes, I've been up there several times without a cloud in the sky!!!

Well, grew up in Fort Collins (PHS '70), have a Spyder, NOT in Colorado. Would be fun doing the river canyons (Poudre, Thompson, South Platte, Arkansas, Delores), Trail Ridge, North Park, Devil's Backbone. And I am SURE there are other route that I have forgotten.

Forgot the St. Vrain.

I still own a home in Leadville, but living in AZ right now. I'm hoping to go up sometime this summer to escape the heat here. Gonna take the RT up through Santa Fe, NM; Espanola; Alamosa; Salida; Buena Vista; then Da'ville! Can't wait!
