Waterproof Jeans

I came across a review in a magazine for waterproof jeans and I was wondering if anyone has these, or know someone who does?
http://legalspeeding.com/waterproof-jeans.htm

I sure could have used these on my last ryde. They come in both men's and women's sizes and are only $99. And they're made in the US. :2thumbs:

Oh, and the reviewer said that he ignored the initial wash instructions, had his wife hose him down, and he remained dry. They don't have Kevlar or armor, but riding pants could take care of that.

Would love to hear about them if anyone owns a pair.

Those are something I might consider. I also like the fact that they are made in the USA.

Just ordered a pair. Sounds like a great pair of pants and I hate putting on rain gear. I'll let you know if they work as they say.
Thanks :2thumbs:

Thanks for the Review

I was wondering if the jeans actually would be waterproof. Thanks for doing the testing!!!! You saved me some time and shipping.:2thumbs:

One question, and while I admit I am not one that has ridden in the rain that much, but does the rain flow (or spray) on you as hard, and closely consecrated as the hose would have? I know when ryding the force is harder as you are ryding thru the down pore, but would the rain drops be as consecrated as a hose will? Maybe a better test would be to have another person hold the hose about 15 to 20 feet away, and spray Lamont while sitting on his spyder. This could replicate the random and spaced out pattern of rain. I say sitting on his spyder as a person is sitting on it when ryding. Another benefit would that when Lamont is done with the test he can wash his spyder without worrying about getting his clothes wet :roflblack:

:lecturef_smilie:Don't let Lamont see that video of Lamont's butt. He will remove it and Lamont might lose his right to post here. :roflblack::roflblack:

Butt seriously (did you all get that joke), thanks for saving us the money because I wanted a pair of those until that video. I think we need a test with a female in it, to be sure these don't work. :roflblack::roflblack:

Thanks for the test! :yikes::yikes:

Guess I will save my money and continue using my rain gear. :doorag:

I think I saw where Lamount during the spray held the hoese a bit high on his back and thereby water rain between paint and t-shirt..
At least I think that is what I saw...

My plan actually worked - I was hoping to see a zoom shot of Lamont's butt. :2thumbs:  :joke: :roflblack:

Seriously though, I am bummed that they're not truly waterproof. :(

Hey Lamont, did you get instructions about "pre-washing" the jeans? I believe the website (or perhaps it was the review I read) mentions something about washing them first. Not sure if that really makes a difference.

Thanks for being our guinea pig and doing the video.

Nope, the wet spot is below the pants and shirt and it ran down my leg before I even got to my back but go ahead and buy a pair, maybe you'll have better results. :dontknow:

All I got was a box with pants in it, no washing instructions. :dontknow:

I don't generally get caught in the rain without having rain gear on but recently I did get caught in a thunderstorm. I felt like someone had a hose aimed at my back pocket. Got home and I was soaked from the thighs up and Joe on 2 wheels was soaked from the knees down. I looked like I didn't make the bathroom in time and he looked like he got caught in the rain. :yikes:

Nah..... Don't need them jumping ditches.

If my tourmaster don't work, I just get wet.

That was a very severe test. Most rain storms don't give that much water with that much force (some do). I too, hate my rain gear. It is too much trouble, and too hot in the summer. I will do almost anything to avoid wearing the hated rain gear. I was hoping the jeans would work. It looks like I will have to continue getting wet and then drying off. Get wet, dry off, repeat cycle.

I'm just going by what they say on their ad. :dontknow:

The MH2O Motor Jean is the first evolution of the patented MH2O technology. With MH20 Technology the water just beads up and rolls off. It doesn't matter if you get splashed from a passing vehicle or you decided to go riding in a heavy downpour, when you get to your destination, your jeans and what you wear under them will be dry.
