• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Squeeling left front wheel.

On the way home last night, I heard a new sound from the front of the spyder. Located it down to the left wheel area. This morning I removed the wheel, brake caliper and pads, rotor and saw nothing unusual. Cant make it do it by spinning by hand, but it was like a high pitch whine. Off to WestCoast in the morning for some detective work. My guess is wheel bearing? 14K miles so far.

I noticed on our ride Sun. that after a while :ani29: RTS developed a sqeek in the left front too. Seem to disappear at about 40mph , it drove great. After the :ani29: cooled off , the next day the squeek was gone until the :ani29: heated up again and then the squeek returned. Steering and brakes seem to be fine
Any ideas as to what is causing the problem would be great :D
Oh :ani29: only has 2400km on it or 1491 miles.

Check for worn bushings in the front shocks, or a-arm bushings that need grease.

Just being funny here because it seems like all the right input has been presented...

Ask the passenger to change ears every once in a while to help balance out the squealing :roflblack::ohyea::shemademe_smilie:

My squealing comes in stereo from my passenger and so does the knocking on the back of my helmet ( just kid,n honey):shemademe_smilie::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::ohyea:
The :ani29: sqealing comes in mono

Thanks Scotty, I was hoping that you would respond as I can always count on you to have the correct answer . :2thumbs:
Can't say with any certainty that it is the problem, but that is a good place to start looking. There could be other causes.

After checking the A-arms for grease and shock bushings for wear ---and all are OK.
I called the dealership too yesterday ,mechanic also said to squirt rim cleaner on the rotors, pads and calipers and wash them really good as brake pad dust can sometimes cause this sqeak--- Scotty, Does this sound plausible?

Depends on the source of the sound. A squeak on bumps is likely suspension. A "chirp, chirp, chirp" is likely brakes. Cleaning thge brakes throughly can help...but use nothing but brake parts cleaner to do it. I like CRC Brakekleen.

I cleaned the brake parts with brake cleaner , still chirp, chirp, chirp until 40 mph , so off to dealership next week to get it checked out and to replace missing left hand rear axle dust cap ...... glad it still under warranty.
