My RT burned me today :(

On my way home from CowTown today, I was getting a very hot and uncomfortable feeling on the inside of my thighs.

Finally home. "Inside of my thighs are burnt" :yikes:

This has never happened before, could this be caused by the Y Gasket?

Quite possibly. Or some maintenance was done and they did not replace some of the reflective material?!?! :yikes:pps:

Or... Any new mods done over the winter to redirect the side heat by chance?

Maintenance was done one week before SpyderFest.

The only mods which have been added was the Flag Holder and Brake Pedal cover.

Looks like Chemical burn Will let you know.

Sorry to hear that. If this is new I would check for a pipe that looks like this. Some of the first RT's had this problem.

Oh boy I completely forgot about the pipe breaking... Good memory Lamont :2thumbs:

FYI Bumlebee... Not all of them failed like this. Sometimes they caught it like you are. As the crack is beginning, to end up looking like Lamonts' photo....

Was wondering about that. Gas will do that. I could understand the left thigh but not both since the gas would have to travel over the tank. Did you check for a tight gas cap? We used to fill our lighters with jet fuel, that stuff would leave a nasty burn/welt on your thigh.

I was wondering about that as well. Could you have brushed against something, that transferred to both pant legs ?
Anyway, I hope it is something simple and a non repeat item.
