• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Jacking up spyder

Sorry. I didn't do what my 4th, 5th and 6th grade teachers always told me to do. Read the question closely before trying to answer.:gaah:

+1 the YELLOW model not the RED model. the RED model is the cheaper model and I think those are the reviews you are reading about.
+1--- I just got my jack yesterday and I love it. $152.well spent now I can get it cleaned up and detailed the right way. jc

Jacking up the Spyder !

Here is what I do.

Before I even read the different articles on jacking up the Spyder, I said to myself, why can't I just use two metal car ramps to get underneath ? Lo and behold, here is exactly what I was thinking of. Is there any reason why this won't work ? I am sure I would use the parking brake and make sure the ramps don't slide out.

Unless you raise the back wheel by the same height as you car ramps,,, would'nt this put your Spyder in a realy "not level" position? The manual does say to park it on a level surface doesn't it? Otherwise I think you'd be doing a partial oil change only!!! Just my two cents. Also,,, while on the subject of oil changes. Has anyone in Spyderland ever attempted one of those fluid extractor pumps to suck-it-up through the fill hole? Now here's something to think about. Any takers out there. I'm waiting for you Nancy's Toy!

I have car ramps and don't use them for the Spyder. It's just too easy to use the motorcycle jack then use jack stands. Plus the car ramps would block access from the sides.
