• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

KewlMetal Hgihway brackets for RT

Just completed the installation of KewlMetals highway brackets for the RT. To make this install a little easer I have a suggestion for KewlMetal, how about you fully cover the threads on the bolts before powder coating them instead of just screwing them into the brackets part way. Having to chase the threads added a lot of unnecessary time to the insstall can't screw in bolts when threads are covered in the powder coating material. Other than trhat nice job on the fabrication of the brackets.:dontknow:

Thanks for the install tip. How do you like the final results? Do you feel much engine vibration through the foot pegs?

I mounted mine with low link and adjusted low & put ISO MiniWings on them. In this position, I am able to completely straighten my legs (short legs) and lean again my Utopia backrest. I get almost all my weight off my butt and can ride for miles in that position with one or two hands on the grips. Very comfortable & made all the difference in my ability to stay in the saddle. Never felt the need to dismount between fill-ups. Did 4004.7 miles in 10 days right after I installed them, so got a great feel for them.

Mark, could you post some pics of your highway peg setup? I am trying to decide on brand/setup now for mine and any help is appreciated.

The brackets also come with longer links that can be used as replacements for those I used or in addition to those I used. There are plenty of options for placement. The boards are Kuryakyn. The mounting bolts for the boards are extra & must be purchased separately.

I have a similar setup and I had KewlMetal powdercoat the footrests so they matched the brackets ($30 more). Looks great!
