You can add saddlebags, backrest, a different seat, and some ergonomics, and make an RS more comfortable for sport touring, but you will never turn it into an RT. You will spend quite a bit of money doing it, too, possibly enough to buy the base model RT. In my opinion, if you want full touring get the RT, but for sport touring or sport riding, the RS is a good choice. Both are good values. Let the function and intended use be your guide, and not the $$.
