• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Inter-Comm question

We have just put money down on a new 2011 RTS Limited with the audio system that came with the package and factory GPS.

My dealer told me that I have to buy the CB in order to use the intercomm. This seems very confusing since the PTT button is already built into the bike and there are optional cords for passenger comms with rider.:dontknow::helpsmilie:

I also have a RT Limited with the Garmin Zumo 660 GPS. If you want to hear the music and GPS though the BRP wired headset you will need the comm harness but I have been reading where many owners are having problems getting GPS to the headset. I have a Bluetooth (N-Com) intercom system in my Nolan Triligy helmet and use the Bluetooth option in the GPS. I get all navigation and cell phone calls to my helmet. I plan to add a Bluetooth transmitter connected to the rear speaker system through a speaker to line converter so I will also be able to listen to music through the N-Com.

If you want the intercom, you will need to purchase the CB/Comm System, plus the Entertainment Harness. Sorry. An aftermarket system is another choice...wired or wireless.

I didn't realize you needed the wired headsets plus both entertainment harness and the CB. Glad I went the wireless route.

Thanks for the responses. You would think considering the total cost of one of these machines they would make it easier for folks, especially those of us that do not want the CB radio.

Looks like we will stick with the Bluetooth option.

Look closely at the sena smh10.

We have them and they work just fine.

Shop wisely. Prices vary dramatically.

The Missus and I have just started looking into the whole Ryder/passenger communication issue (She's getting tired of yelling at me ALL of the time! :D) I was just wondering if the CB unit was needed for this application... THANX!
Now... wirelss helmet to helmet... We've got modular buckets... what seems to work pretty well?

Look here for the various helmets used with the sena setup.

We do not have the CB. Just talk to one another with the bluetooth helmet to helmet which works very well for us. We do have the open face helmets but other helmets work too.

Which modular helmets to you have? We have the Nolan Triligy helmets and went with built-in N-Com bluetooth intercom. Works great and lays flush with the outside of the helmet. However, it's a little pricey compared to the Sena.

If its not a Nolan modular helmet then you may want to investigate the Sena. It's been getting very good reviews. I just couldn't get past having a "blob" sticking to the side of my helmet so I spent the extra money on the N-Com.
