• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I vowed not to make unnecessary posts, but when I saw that Scotty was at 8,995, all we need is a couple of good questions and we can get him to 9,000 before the day is done. :D

With my overpants, nothing clashes. BTW, does anyone else remember Mr. Greenjeans from Captain Kangaroo?

I crossed the 800 mile mark today. Sorry to be lagging behind, but it has been cold and wet.

You're making me feel old. Doesn't ANYONE else remember Mr. Greenjeans? :roflblack:
By the way, Scotty, you undoubtedly have as much or more valuable content per post as anyone on this site. Your posts are always worth reading. (Except for this last one! :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:)

I'll tell you an even scarier one. I remember when Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) played Clarabell on Howdy Doody!

Scotty, do you remember the words to the Howdy Doody song?

I'll start.

What time is it?

It's Howdy Doody time, it's Howdy Doody time... that's about all I remember.

There were way too many bootleg versions of that song for me to venture a guess. This is a family channel. :roflblack:

Captain Kangaroo was a war vet (Bob Kiernan i think was his name) and had several medals. i cannot remember the name now, but an old school famous actor served under him and told a few stories about him sometime in the mid 90's i believe.

and yes,i too remember Mr. Green Jeans...and the episode where they invented the "burple" color
