VSS code

My spyder has been more in the shop than out and I only had 4000 miles on it and I just got it back from being in there like 6 times and now I have a VSS Code flashing is there anyone that can help me with this code, I live 2.5 hours away from my dealer?

No code visible on the screen Just LIMP mode and the engine ICON flashing (which advises you to take it to the nearest dealer). Is there a way to retrieve a code and where do you find the code definitions?

Dont worry we will get you through this and let you know what happened. First we need some info on the bike. YR, model would help. There are plenty of people on this forum that know there stuff.

RS: Engine running, scroll to the total engine hours, hold the M button down and flash your headlights three times.

Follow Doc's advice and he can give you the diagnosis based on the code.

Once you have that I would give Carlo a call at BRP support and discuss the issues you are having. He is there to help us out when things like this happen and the dealer cannot seem to fix it properly.

OK, I have an 2010 SE5, I cannot seem to find the Eng hours screen or do not know how to switch it. I do not have a number to Carlos either.

if you press the mode button it will change through different readouts at the bottom of the display. press the mode button until you get to the "hour" page, I think it comes right after the HR TRIP page, and then follow Doc's advice. Good luck and hope this gets resolved for you.
