The thing that bothers me most about this kind of situation is that the idiot making the statement doesn't know anything about the person riding the Spyder.

The Spyder owner very well may be someone that can no longer ride 2 wheels --- perhaps due to an injury--- maybe even a young veteran that was injured fighting for our country.

Comments like that are not worth getting into an agrument or a fight over. Just consider the source--it sounds like he had a problem--and move on.

Just my two cents but if you choose to ride or drive something that is not mainstream you can expect some negative comments. I ride a scooter and our group gets positive and negative comments.

In the old days you could flip this person the bird and move on. Now you do not know who is just an overgrown bully and who is likely to pull out a firearm and let a few round loose at you.

I'm having an argument on Facebook similar to this. A friend of mine went to a demo ryde in Puerto Rico and posted pics of her ryding it on Facebook. One her friends, a Harley yikes:?) owner, comments "Those wheels are for cowards". I angrily replayed him telling him to dare call disabled veterans and long time motorcycle riders "cowards". He just replyed back "That is why Harley makes trikes and have conversion kits, those wheels are still for cowards".

Can't answer him back because I don't Facebook at work (personal issues), but I will write him an "nice" letter to him basically telling him that I don't give a rats :cus: on his opinion on the :spyder2:, but stay away from the ryders.

That's why I always ryde with my Taurus Judge (buck shot loads) on the cross draw holster.

My Maxi-Scooter kinda looks like a sport touring bike from the front. I have gotten the "wave" from other bikers and then they quickly try and take it away when they realize they just waved at a scooter.

In fact, when I ride with them and we stop, everyone is interested in our :spyder2: and ask tons of good questions about what it is, how it rides, is it comfortable, etc. AND nothing about the other bikes. People that make negative comments don't know anything about riding wether it be two, three or four wheels.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Just have fun.:2thumbs::2thumbs:

If the scooters is traveling in the middle of the road like normal MCs, then I'll wave. But if they are unlicensed ones traveling on the shoulder, then I won't. But eitherway if they need assistance, I will stop to help a fellow ryder.

:agree: I have not once run into a :spyder2:badmouther while ryding. Like you, I stop and always have someone come up and ask me questions about it... Harley, Honda, Yamaha owners! I agree with the statement "It's not what you ride, as long as you ride", and if you have opinions on a particular motorcycle, that is fine. But what gets me about this :cus:hole on Facebook is that he is opinionating (and insulting) the :spyder2wners themselfs. Even Harley owners would say that anyone that talks that way is an embarasment to H.O.G.s.:chill:
