• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Setting JB Pro

I am installing my new Juice Box Pro tonight. I plan on removing the airbox to make it a little easier to get to the injector connections.

My question is can you set it without hooking it up to a laptop to confirm the setting? I am just running the Hindle for now, I want to try settings 1,2,3 each for a bit. It the arrow on the dial good enough to judge the setting? Does it kind of "click" into each number?

Thanks.

This thread is relative to my interests. I'll be installing the green filter, Hindle, and Juice Box Pro on Saturday.

I am sorry to say when i hooked mine i don't recall any clicks or such the lap top is very accurate. I am pretty sure an ipad would work also if you have one.
trying all three settings is a good idea but i can tell you i love setting 3 the best. Goodluck

Ok Lap top it is. Did you just set it to number 3 and that's it? Or did you break the map down a little more custom? I must admit I have not looked at the instructions yet.

I just have the Hindle right now.

I set it at 3 and it runs great but only had it out twice so far this year.Have to see if I run into any problems when it gets warmer.

No i put it on 1 first did not notice to much of a difference then 2 and started to notice a nice difference then i went and tried 3 and that was like WOW i still want to play with it and try different things.

I installed JB Pro along with kewl metal performance system that being said I set it to #2 and added 5% to the bottom, middle, and top throttle positions and I still have a need for more fuel starting at 4800-5200 range. Mine does not click when setting the position or when adding fuel to the bottom, middle, and top third throttle positions. My JB Pro did have the four spyder maps preloaded.

Got it installed tonight, along with the 12 volt socket and my sway bar. WOW what a different machine.:shocked:

It handles so flat, revs so smooth. I only put 7 miles on since it was dark and cold. I can't wait to try it longer tomorrow. I have it set on 2, it needs a little bump in the midrange I am guessing as there is a minor bog around 4000 rpm.

But more testing with allow me to dial her in.

I would not say it's much faster, but waaaaay smoother if that makes sense.

I am a very happy :spyder2: owner tonight:2excited:

If you you need more fuel at any rpm range, you can easily add more fuel to that range with software but unfortunately spyder can not be calibrated for each gear due to spyder not sending signal to pc or jb pro in right range.
That hampers jb pro or pcV performance a lot but that's the hand we are dealt with so.

iPad probably will not work as software is window based and didn't even work with Mac-emulated window. I had to reboot in window completely for pc software to work.

For whatever the reason, evoluzione race air set up did not make any difference on dyno over stock air box, according dynojet's tech who dyno-Ed my spider but it did make big difference on the road. :dontknow:

I think you might save little bit of fuel on freeway cruising speed if take some fuel out on low throttle position, just outside of closed loop.

great points...I have the original (now boring) JB and I dropped the coasting number down a lot (setting 4) so as to not push too much fuel in when not needed. I was finding that the mix was too rich with acceleration after coasting a bit...would lead to backfiring. Since lowering the coasting and acceleration numbers, the bike is more than brisk with acceleration and it no longer backfiress!

The JB Pro sounds like it is even more fun...will have to wait on that though.

I have the hindle and green filter...

You definitely need something other than stock air filter for a JB or JB Pro. Extra fuel needs extra air...that combustion gives you the additional power.

Before the updates, the bike ran very lean...with each update, they made the mix a little more rich. It was noticeable with the JB numbers. I had to decrease them with each update.

mine still doing poping in the 4-4500 rpm.. i have kewlmetal air filter, o2 sensor , jb pro and jb single can i set the jb at 3 and played whit the low - mid - high range and nothing i contacted evolution waiting for a answer ( i instaled o2 sensor befor winter )

You do not need a laptop to use the JB Pro.

If you bought the one for the spyder... It comes with maps already installed.

Map 0 is stock - no changes
Map 1 is Stock bike with changes
Map 2 is Stock with Two Bro single can pipe
Map 3 is Stock with Two Bro Duel pipe setup.

There are 3 dials for manually adding or taking away fuel in the bottom 3rd, mid range or top 3rd of the RPM range....

You do need a laptop if you choose to edit the maps or make your own. You can debate the merits of that, but you would need a dyno and some fancy equipment to make an accurate map for just your bike.

Two Bros has already done the work for you. I imagine their map for the single can would play well with most other pipes.

The variable is that if you are running a different air intake. I am, and that is why I went to a JB... The kewl metal intake had me running too lean. I set map 1 with the stock pipe and it helped, but I was slowly fouling my plugs... So on goes a Two bros pipe.

Just selecting a map for the sake of it is asking for problems in my opinion, especially if your running stock intake and pipe.

add fuel in small increments, 2% at that rpm range. yes you will need to use the software to do this. add 2%, test ryde repeat if needed. having two three maps for different weathers is good too.

i had two bros single with evoluzione race air and was popping at same range at 0% throttle and that was after my spyder was dynoed by dynojet. i ended up at 15% more fuel at 0% throttle at 2500-5000 rpm but i live in vegas so you may not need as much.

not sure what the question was but if you are asking if i was able to add more fuel, yes adding more fuel at right rpm and throttle position will get rid of popping. if you are asking if spyder burned more fuel with fuel management system, also yes but mostly because it is more fun to yank on throttle with it.^^
