• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2 borthers juice box?

My 2009 SE5 Spyder has a Hindle installed, and a KewlMetal air-box.

Liked the sound of the Hindle, and after many other home-made arrangements, I finally got rid of the oil-in-the airbox-syndrome using the KewlMetal air arrangement.

I was NOT looking for improved performance.

After these mods, the mix got too lean, and resulted in pre-detonation hiccups upstairs, and backfiring downstairs.

So I bought the O2 Modifier and installed it, but after doing the disconnection of the battery leads and the "reseting procedure" (15 minutes running at idle, 15 minutes cooling off, and then running it), the lean mixture problem persist.

Wonder what kind of Juice Box or Power Commander type gadget will finally let me enjoy my Spyder to the fullest, without worrying about the health of the engine.

I live in a hot weather area, and being too lean also contributes to the engine temperature problem.

Suggestions, advices, etc., are welcome.

Saludos, Pilo
All you really need now is the original JB. Whatever settings you go with just be sure to set #5 and #6 at least 2 points difference so as not to get a fuel cutout at full throttle...

Who sells it...?

Please elaborate on the settings, I have no experience whatsoever with JB's...

Here is a page from ebay for JB,s for sale, my settings are as follows: #1-does not get used, #2-3, #3-2.5, #4-2.5, #5-1.5, #6-3.5. These work for me but others with my exact same mods have other settings that work for them, do a search for JB settings. The link above will show both the original or F1 Juice Box and the newest one the JB pro. With the pro you would not need the 02 modifier but if used with the original JB it is a plus as it will eliminate the popping on deceleration. Hope this helps

OK, bought the original last night from Custom Dynamics at US$215 plus international UPS freight charges... :yikes:

Next question is: Should I remove my O2 Modifier and reinstall the original O2 sensor...?

Thanks and regards, Pilo

I have the Two Bro Pro Juice box the directions say you must retain your stock O2 sensor. For now I am running the stock O2 sensor but I do have the O2 mod on the shelf just in case I want to try it one day. For now spyder runs good but there are several spyder owners running the juice box and the O2 mod together with good results.

No! Removal of the 02 Modifier is only for the JB Pro not the one you bought. You will experience the improvement of smoother deceleration with the 02 mod in place...

Just guessing / speculating:

Wouldn't the mix become too rich if I leave the O2 Modifier in place...? :dontknow:

Thanks again, and excuse my ignorance in this matter... :(

Yeah, with each update, BRP made the bike run 'less lean'...so, we had to keep dialing the numbers back...I'm not at stock levels with my JB, but I'm not most of the way up like I used to be...

No question the JB makes a huge difference with performance...

So what are your current setting for the JB?
