• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I made this from an M109 Kewl/Hacker pipe. Small and clean, sounds awesome.

I've been calling you and Big Joe for three days, don't you love me anymore? :dontknow:

You going to Daytona? You going to Sturgis? I'm going to add a day to Daytona if you guys are going to be there and I'm trying to get Sturgis plans laid out. Give me a call Bro. :doorag:

How much did that pipe cost and where did you buy it from? I'm thinking of doing that to my spyder!

Mad Matt,

I know this is an old post, but I was just wondering ...

Did you have any luck with this straight pipe design?

How much did it effect the HP/TQ curve?

And did you have to change your fuel curve to keep it from leaning out (programmer/juice box/ so on)?

thanks,

Brad

Hey Brad,
Not to jump on Mad Matt, but, I did something similar with a Thrush glasspack. Mine has been on the bike for about a year. The sound is great. No intake changes or fuel management changes. you can hear it on youtube, [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBUY7Q8XZAo[/ame].
It has now been finish up with a heat shield on the elbow and a piece of tubing finishing out the exhaust end to the same diameter as the rest of the muffler. Also has been powder-coated. $100.00 for everything.

loudest exhaust you've ever heard

I have this pipe on my :spyder2:awsome sound but you must like it load, I get a lot of complements. did not change the way :spyder2:runs at all. L purchased mine from kewlmetal, but i have the grey webb on mine. I had heard it said that they took it off the market i dont know why or if they are just doin something with it. I think it cost between 3 too 5 hunderd but dont hold me to that. definatly the way to go.:2thumbs:

Thing is... besides stock, what's "quiet" ?

Stock is ugly and bland. I've love a new pipe that was quiet, good looking and a "better" sound.

And I want a white pony.

I really like the color scheme of your bike...forget the white pony, get a hindle...made for the bike and is loud, but not too loud...fits the bike perfectly, and since it is by hindle, for Can-Am, you likely won't get in trouble if your area starts to limit decibel levels of pipes...oh, it's just under the limit anyway...but the more something looks stock, the better...

Anyone ever tried to drill out the stock pipes? Did it on my V-star, was a little louder, still looked stock, and improved performance.

I'm sure many here have...the catalytic converter is in there though...so, function is affected as well...you'd have to do some major work on that thing...

I am lazy so I went with the hindle...kept the stock just in case, but the hindle works well for me...

Oh, the darn rivets will work themselves loose over time (on the heat shield), but you can replace them with slightly larger ones and they seem to hold...the dealer did this for me without charging...
