• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Interesting, cool - thanks for sharing doc!

Also looks ( maybe just the photo angle? ) that there is only ONE vs TWO wires going to the rear wheel speed sensor?

Good find, Doc!

Now the big question, can you retrofit that to the 09?:dontknow:

That is the only issue I have with mine, the parking brake.:(

The cost of parts is over $1,200 (including caliper) + labor + 6 hours to bleed brakes...not worth the money IMO. :( A good mechanic can make your 2009 parking brake working.

Our 2011 RSS is 100% manual... Sadly...
If that's the case then I don't see why you couldn't just replace the cable and add the new pulley to the older RS/GS models, near as I can tell everything else is the same. The real advantage I see is leverage, it will take less effort to set the brake tighter.

Just looked (drove it to the office today)... And yes.. All cable. No electric stuff beyond the on off selector. From the disc the cable travels from the center of the swing-arm to the right side of the arm... Then loops up inside the skeleton of the main frame (Under the seat) and down to the foot operated mechanism.

Near as can tell from the photos (That means nothing of course) there is a little difference in the upper right of the molding in the 2011 vs the previous models (Speaking about the main unit itself, not the cable disc thingy). :dontknow:

If the mounting shaft size is the same I think it is worth a look to try it.

I can say that the E-Brake is very light for tension. TO light for my taste. I end up pushing down on it to fast and that keeps it from engaging. I have to go slow for it to engage... :opps:
