Sad Day!!!

So sorry for your loss. Not everyone realizes the close bond that it's formed between pets and owners--they're not like family, they ARE family. We have lost 3 of ours due to mysterious cases of poisoning so no longer let them out alone and our closest neighbor is half a mile away.

May I add my sympathy to all the others. I have had dogs since I was a child(have 3 now) and they certainly are a big part of your life and your family. One cannot understand how someone would do something like this a a member of your family.

Thank-you all for your kind words, means a lot to me.

Our other dog "Lucky" is fine, he is not showing any signs of anything. But he is not making a sound. He usually cries when you seperate them, kind of odd, he has not made a peep. I think he knows something was wrong with his sister. Animals can feel and sence when something is wrong.

We have no idea who did this. We did report this to the police, but nothing they can do. No one saw anything. Most of our neighbors are not home during the day, they all work.

Roxie is on the left, she is the one we had to put to sleep last night. Her Kidneys and Liver failed. At that point, there was nothing left for them to do
Her brother Lucky is the one on the right. They are a mix of Beagle, Basset Hound, and German Shepard.
We found them on the side of the street 5 years ago. They were only 2 months old when we took them in.

Oh no!! I am so sorry. What a horrible thing for your dogs and your family to have done to you. I can not imagine. My dogs are my life. You must be heartbroken over the one you lost. Ethylene glycol poisoning is very serious. I do hope your other dogs survive. I'm so sad for you. Angry too. But mostly sad. Do contact the Police and your local Animal Control. Some nut may have an agenda against dogs. I take it yours were out in your yard. I hate to ask, but might they have barked and annoyed someone? There are some very angry people about these days. I would not leave them unattended in your yard after this.

Sorry about the lost of your pet. I own two dog's and my wife would jump of a bridge if something happend to her baby's.
I am very suprised that your dog drank that water!!!
