• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Were almost there. 50 more and we should be close! Were so close I'm gonna do what it takes to make it happen! I've gotten so many cool pictures, I would be bummed to not see it publish.

One more request, please submit all Spyder events that you know of for 2011 with date and location so we can include it in the calendar. Please submit events to Spyderwolf. Thanks to everyone who have participated.
 
Calendar submission

I would like to personally thank everyone who participated. We're in the process of gathering and sorting all the photos and will sit down this week with our designers and get them working on it. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/images/smilies/chatchairs.gif

Though we did not make the needed pre-order http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/images/smilies/gaah.gif I will make sure that this calendar gets produced. There is so many great pictures. Calendars will be still be available through the site and we'll produce some extras for anyone that is still interested in them. But as of now all photo submission has ended. Next year we'll start earlier and you'll be able to customize your very own front cover!

To expand on that, we could vote and the top 13 photos would make the cut for the monthly photo and cover and all of the other photos could be smaller inset inside of the calendar days. That way everyone who submits a photo gets their picture in there.

The local Boxer rescue puts together a calendar where people submit photos and buy either the cover, a large monthly photo, or a smaller photo that are inset inside of the calendar days. Their calendar is a 13 month calendar with a cover and different photos on each month. I looks really nice. I just got mine the other day. :)

Thanks for the suggestions, all sounds good. I started the layout today with the designer. There is a ton of photos to sort through and some are low res and some are good. We've picked a photo to highlight and collage others around it. There is definitely some really nice photos and we will make sure that all of it makes it in somehow. There was a few nice international submissions too which is great to see. I think the idea is to make a fun calendar that included all who submitted so there is a good variety. Next year we can go nutz with it. I'm planning to have a special site up just for the calendars that you can submit your own cover photo and the inside will be the main calendars. This way everyone is a star!
