• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Huligan or Hooligan ... I'm confused?

Since I'm planning on attending Spyderfest for the first time, I want to be sure I know which group I need to watch out for; Huligans or Hooligans?

Forrest once said that there is a difference between the two. He also said in a post that; "the winnery will not allow huligans inside unless, they are being escorted by a responsible person or persons"!

In this video, Lamont called he dragsters "Hooligans"?: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/v...ls&videoid=147

Firefly once posted “Beware of Huliganism :yikes:

BajaRon said you don't have to look like Doc to be one?

In one post, Fastfraser said to “Put down the Hooligan Juice and step away from the computer?”

Won't somone please help this unsuspecting innocent 68 year old from NC with advice on what to do once I enter Cuba? Does it have something to do with rowdies, rogues, misfits or ruffians?

I did find this in the Urban Dictionary. Is this it? ... :dontknow:
The Huligan and Football Huligan are rowdy domestic breeds closely related to the Hooligan and the Football Hooligan.

However, with origins in Kingston upon Hull in West Yorkshire, England, the Hulligan has various regional, cultural and linguistic differences versus the average English Hooligan.

While the Huligan is free-ranging, the hybrid Football Hulligan largely roams in packs and in the vicinity of sporting events, notably stadium car parks and pubs with multiple tv screens.

The Hulligan gene is traceable primarily in the male population, or Hulliguy.

However, increases in Hullcoholicbinge brawls and banshee behavior by the female, or Hulligal, population points overwhelmingly to regional influence and Hull's unique role in Hulligan evolution.

Studies show a direct correlation between the increased volume of Hulligan and Football Hulligan public outbursts of random, yet hullarious, howling and the number of rounds on the tab at last call.

My opinion is, they are all basically the same thing... Just different ways of spelling it. Because you can't find any, single consensus anywhere. Every 'Expert' has a different story.

Personnally, I like Hooligan. But since I aren't one, I will defer to those who are. :D

I think that it was mentioned that these types of folks; whatever they are, need to be watched out for... I didn't read anywhere that they had to be avoided... After all, they probably know where to get the best milk and cookies! :D

First rule of being a Huligan ---- SPEED is more important than SPELLING.

I'm with dan! Huligans can't spell :roflblack: but they can fly low, and yes cops are always a problem, but only for the slower ones:( lol

Everytime I spell it Huligan... My Spell Checker tells me it's Hooligan... So Microsoft Word is confused as well.

But not matter how you spell it... It's TROUBLE! :D:doorag:

I thought the first rule of being a Huligan was:
"You do not talk about Huligans"
and the second rule:
"You DO NOT talk about Huligans"
:D

:agree:
