Pushing-Parking the RT into a tight space

Another question.....

I currently own a Ural. I park it in the garage in front of one of our cars. It is easy to push into place with one hand on its front grab handle and the other hand on the left handlebar grip. Super easy to push into place.

What about the Spyder RT? Is it possible to push / move around inside a garage?

Used to own a Ural as well so I understand, I have an RS and yes I can push it around, the RT is much heaver but I do believe it can be done, i would not want to if the floor was not flat though.

I push our Spyders (RS & RT) around in the garage, and in and out of the garage ot shed, every day. It isn't tough, with the passenger grab handles and the handlebar. It is not as maneuverable, though, is heavier, has more rolling resistance, and steers much harder. You can do it, but you will have to work harder.

Once you get the parking brake relased without setting off the alarm, the RTs push around pretty easy... even for an olphart like me! :shocked:

remember out of the box the spyder has NO handbrake to grab to stop it... unless you add the aftermarket add on...

You could find yourself in trouble if you're on the wrong side when needing to brake! Be careful.

:agree:I have the ISCI Handbrake and I notice that the Dealer and Mechanic both use the handbrake when they push my RT around the shop. This, of course, is after they told me that the handbrake was 'thingy non-grata' by BRP.

I just got that lesson Wednesday evening at Pizza Hut... A case oig eyes and brown shorts for sure! :shocked: (and they DO roll very easy!)

I push ours around the driveway all the time and stop it very easily even when on the wrong side of the bike by hitting the parking brake. It engages and stops the bike for me without having to put my foot on the brake pedal.

RT parking

I cheat and start it and then move it by hand. Has power steering then, makes things go a lot easier. Use either brake to stop.

I have both a Ural Gear-Up and the Spyder RT. The Ural is easier to push around and navigate in the garage. That being said don't let this sway you if you are thinking about getting a RT, it is one awesome bike. I love my Ural also and use it mostly for exploring dirt roads.
