Power steering

My dealer called today for a recall on the spyder. They are going to replace the power steering unit. I'm taking it in tonight.

Try to find out what is going wrong with the units and how they fixed them?? Is it a permenant fix? Never had power steering issues with anything I owned before. Also, did you get a new one or rebuilt??

The NHTSA Defect Notice contains most of what you want to know. This should be a permanent fix. Don't worry so much!

I called my dealer today to schedule the 600 mile service and was told about this recall but they don't have the parts so I'll have to go back later when they have the parts.

It's a recall for ALL Spyders sold before a certain date. If you own one, you're in the pool. It is a new and improved DPS unit, it's free, it has to be done, so just do it.

Got mine 2day

Recall notice was in my mail today when I came home. oh, well, my trailer hitch came in so I need to schedule that install so I will schedule this too.
