• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's been raining here pretty much all day so I decided to install a Juice Box Pro in the RT today. About a half hour after I got done the sky opened up and I checked the radar to see if I could take a little test drive and see how the JBP did. I knew I couldn't go too far so I fueled up and headed for Hot Springs.

The ride out there was great and I'm happy with the install of the JBP. It seems to have a little more pick up and runs smooth through out the rpm's. I stopped in Hot Springs and met a couple there that were riding Harleys and they really liked the RT. We talked for a bit and I headed back home.

I saw a storm forming but I needed to stop by the store before heading home. I can tell you I'm glad I didn't take 30 seconds longer than I did. By time I got mounted I could see this was turning into a nasty storm and I was heading right into it. I drove about 30 over just to beat the storm and by the time I turned on my road the wind had picked up and the sky was as black as coal. I got about half way up my driveway before it started to rain. It's raining hard now but I'll let the video tell the rest of the story.

Wow , never saw anything quite that menencing in a storm cloud befor. Very scary. Lamonster...THE Spyder Storm Chaser

NASTY.

Lamont.. Are you using a preloaded map for the RT/Spyder. Curious as to what one you are running.

I'm running map 1 and have been getting O2 errors with my 08. It is a JBP.

Yes, this has two connections for each o2 sensor. I have not played with any maps as this is preproduction unit. Right now it's running great so I don't see a reason to change it. :doorag:

You were lucky, sir! Those cloud walls are indicative of storm cells that can produce tornadoes.

Just had some come through the Dallas area on Wednesday and they spawned at least two tornadoes that I know of... maybe more. One was headed directly for me (10 miles away) before it died out.

Wicked stuff.

Wow, those were some very ominous looking clouds.

I rode to Columbia and back today, about 160 mile trip. Everything was great till I was about a 1/2 hour away from home. It was raining hard, but that didn't slow me down too much. I stopped for fuel about 10 miles from the house, and started for home. As I got about 5 miles away, the wind started whipping around wildly, and the roads were covered in pine needles and leaves. I had to dodge quite a few branches that were being blown across the road as well. I gunned it and made it home just before the bottom dropped out of that storm. We lost power at least 4 times so far due to this system. With all that, the sky didn't look anywhere near as bad as what you showed us. :yikes:

As a trained spotter, this video does not show a wall cloud to me. It looks like a plain, mean squall line. That does not mean that a wall cloud could not form from it, especially from that right end. It also does not mean that all tornadoes come from wall clouds, or that all wall clloud spawn tornadoes...although many, especially ones with rotation, do. BTW, a wall cloud is an isolated lowering of the cloud base. The small lowerings show no flattened base.

Wolfen! GLad you mad it OK. You too, Lamont! I guess that JBP saved yer bacon eh? :roflblack: Now with the JBP are you guys playing with fuel pressure? In other words, are you having to up the fuel pressure to really get the result that you want? I imagine the ECU isn't going to give up any extra fuel on it's own. Does the JBP come with a pressure modifier of some sort or is that another mod?

Oh yeah, I live down a dirt road and came flying into the yard putting the nanny to a serious test. My little boy was looking out the window and told my wife, "Daddy is flying! You should see how fast he is going". They had the back door open waiting for me to run in once I shut down the Spyder.

Branches kinda hurt when they hit you! I got caught in a kind of micro climate weather change that generated some pretty high winds and light rain. It was the wind that had me wound up though. I mean it went from completely dry to just wet and windy in a snap! pieces of branches were strewn all over the road and suddenly I found myself in an obstacle course! I got hit twice by pieces of branch that were blown off of some pretty tall trees, and it kinda hurt! One in the left arm. one right in the chest! I made it outta there just fine though. The SPyder holds up pretty well under tough conditions. Pretty impressive!

I could just see you now flying down that road. Makes for an interesting visual! :yikes:

Do you have/need an aftermarket mufler on the RTS to go along with the Juice Box Pro? I gather you do have the ESI air filter for RTS?

Cool stuff--- I love a good storm--like chasing them-- but would have traded the Spyder in for a cage first.....
