• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RT

Are you sure? This is the BEST factory extended warranty, right?

It wasn't that way a year ago. Once you bought it, it stayed with the bike... no refunds.

.

Ok ... Pulled the paperwork.

- Regular BRP 2 year warranty through June 11, 2012

- B.E.S.T. Service goes for 1 additional year thru June 11,2013. There is a $ 50 deductible but no deductible for Emergency Roadside Assistance.

- 3 years additional coverage starting June 11, 2013 .. Ending June 11, 2016 through Western Service Contract Corp. No deductible and no mileage restriction. Covers everything except CVT belts, shock absorbers, struts, tie rod ends, light bulbs, brake pads / shoes , radio, GPS and speakers.

- Then there's a seperate deal called the "VSC ( Vehicle Service Contract ) Refund Agreement" through a company called the Torque Group. Agreement states that " Torque Group agrees to refund the Full Purchase Price of the service contract to the original purchaser named above only if the service contract runs full term and is never used. " The Dealer threw this in free as an incentive to buy the extended 3 years. The service contract for years 4, 5 and 6 was between 800-900 dollars - not cheap but a few major repairs could eat that amount in no time - Plus a GREAT resale tool.

All of the coverages are transferrable except that the full refund for not using the Western Service Contract is applicable to the original purchaser only and would not transfer to a new owner.

I asked my dealer that if this Western Service Contract Group and / or Torque Group goes out of business .... would they honor the agreement - Answer was Yes. They're a big dealer and have been around for a long time ... But who knows what tomorrow may bring , right ?

I may have missed it but when are the white 2011 Limited's hitting the street and are they taking orders now ?
I seem to remember reading that delivery of the Special Edition would start in the Spring of 2011. Not sure about the pre-orders, but that is likely. They did that with the PE Spyders, several months ahead of delivery.

Gotcha. So it's not the BRP BEST warranty that's refundable. That's what I thought.

Never fear on the Western contract. It's not quite as good as a factory warranty but it's good, nonetheless. I have that same one on my Triumph Thunderbird.

I gotta tell ya I love the Pearl White, ...........I

wonder If they might offer instead of the luggage, White BRP helmets, :2thumbs: ......... since I already got the entire luggage set that I love.

I also got the timeless black helmets, but Pearl White would be top notch. Everybody infront of me would

look in their rear view mirror and think I was the Law :D

I agree ....... decided I'm definitely going for the pearl white. Unfortunately, needing a size 4XL - 5XL makes my helmet choices extremely limited ..... I have taken a 3XL and cut out some of the inside foam shell with a Dremel tool to make it fit better. Gonna start wrapping my head in bubble wrap and using a 5 gal. bucket.
