• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MY11 Spyder Lineup

Now hoping that these RT parts (shocks & windshield) interchange. Buying a windshield from BRP is less expensive than ESI. Purchased one for my RT after hitting a large bird for less than $250. sure cheaper than ESI at $350 or so. Also wondering is "vibration" dampening system on RS would benefit RT and if it would bolt on. Great new colors but I still like my timeless black. THANKS LAMONT FOR THE SNEAK PREVIEW

I too hope RT parts interchange! Hate to go out and have to buy a brand new RT just for a few items. Fingers crossed!

The anti vibration update is from the RT, you already have it.

I'll add a few detailed pics.

thanks lamont .. nothing really new on the RTs - the smaller shield/flaps still use some drivers here - what means new front calibration ??
still no other seats available ?
the new colours look spectacular (white) - but would prefer on the RT two colours - than it lookes not so fat - hopefully they made un update for the trunkopener ..
so if i get a new one (insurance after crash) - must not wait ..

New Spyders

HOT DIGGIDY DOG THEY GOT RED!!!!!!!!!!!! now I will have to change the color of my BRP trailer and get the RT in Red to match my RSE,( OF COURSE GOTTA HAVE EM ALL ALIKE) right now have a silver trailer and red RSE. oh well still get em seen on the hiway, even more so with the diff colors. Thank YOU LaMont for the peak!!:2thumbs::yes::bowdown:

Great post, Lamont. I'll try not to feel too bad that my RT is orbital blue - the only bike I've owned that wasn't red, except a Buell. Great info in the spec sheets, too. It will be fun reading!

Love to see these in person. Especially the Alloy Orange Metallic/ Matte Black.

I have a feeling these are going to be even more impressive that the pictures show.

Love the 6, dual spoke wheels.

In economic hard times (like we may be looking at these days), it's a smarter corporate decision to bling up what you've already got in the pipeline than to revamp for a whole new machine.

BRP would have to increase prices to pay for the R&D, retool, etc. Not a smart move when people are pinching pennies.

Speaking of pennies, did you know that today's dollar is worth exactly $0.02 compared to a 1913 dollar? So in less than 100 years, 98% of the value of our money has been engineered out.

That means our penny is worth $0.0002! No wonder the penny is worth more as scrap copper than it is as currency.

Government, we're here to help....

But don't worry....They are working hard on the remaining 2%! :yikes:

They blacked the handlebars, pegs and brackets and rims including the rear wheel. :doorag:

I like the new black wheels and blacked out bars very much! These appear to be backward compatable to ealier models so that I can install the new bars onto 14 with relative ease. Tough decision though, because you don't really want to go tweaking a Phantom too much. I mean, it's a Phantom! Should probably stay true to the lineage. Wow, my limited edition bike will soon be retro! Who 'da thunk it? :D

Great information, thanks for the update. The new colors are really great. It is also good to see BRP continuing to upgrade the product--that bodes well for the continuation of the Spyder. Also agree with the earlier post about updated training for dealers tech's. That would also go a long way to making owning a Spyder a better experience.

Cool stuff for sure---- didn't expect anything major as BRP likes the 'every-other year' thing for big changes.

The Orange is really sweet.... and I can easily see many of us wanted to order the blacked-out parts for our bikes.....

You can tell BRP watches these forums and sees what people are doing to customize their bikes.......

Wonder if the anti-vibe upgrade is meant to help with the rear fender-----:2thumbs::D:roflblack:.

Man BRP is making this difficult -- as bad a MM and ESI -- everytime there is a change I make a longer wish list -- can't wait until Feb - Spyder will be paid off and I can start adding mods -- or maybe it would be better just to buy a 2011 the way I think I want it. :dontknow: Man the colors are great and love the blacked out look.

Couldn't have said it better! :agree:

New shock calibration on the RT to reduce roll.So they must be even firmer for those that may want to bolt'em up to their GS/RS!!:2thumbs:I still don't know why BRP hasn't offered an option gas shock like they do on their sleds instead of the cheap ones they use now on the Spyder.:dontknow:Still not enough affordable aftermarket shocks out their,Penske & Elka are pricey.

Love the colors, that orange is pretty cool, much better then I thought :2thumbs:
Probably look good on a RT-S too!

Keeping mine this time, no trade-in :D

Blackened the Handlebars and the rest of the gray, good move there. Having mine powder coated maybe this winter. :2thumbs:

Thanks for sharing :firstplace:
