There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Painting the panels question

OK, let's hear it from the pro's...
Wife wants her red/black spyder painted Peal like the newer models.
The question is, should I just buy the pearl panels off ebay or from BRP, or should I have her red panels painted the Pearl color?
My concern is if painted, is there a good chance for peeling etc later on down the road since the panels are plastic?
Any idea what it might cost to have them painted like that?

Thanks!

Just make sure you get a good paint shop and you'll have no issues. I'm having my wife's bike done in white and the total cost is $650.00 with getting the black panels painted also. I bought a whole body of a silver Spyder with 280km for $300.00. I have the Phantoms models and didn't want to paint the stealth panels.

I had mine painted gloss black and, no matter how good the paint job is, eventually you will get small chips in it from road debris.

I would check the prices both ways, but you'd be hard pressed to find a local shop that could make them look as good as the pearl white BRP factory ones---

Also make sure it's a shop that knows how to paint PLASTIC! Heard many horror stories of cracking later on because they didn't use the correct modifier in the paint.

I painted dozens of scooters back in the eighties using Imron. It chemically bonds to the Tupperware and you can't scrape it off!

Buy the BRP pearl panels off ebay and sell the red ones White over red not a good idea the chips will stand out like a turd in a punchbowl

Awesome,
Thanks guys, looks like verdict is to order the BRP panels.
They are spendy though, so if anyone wants to give me a set, I am accepting donations!
JK, I will sell the red ones and use it towards the new panels.
