• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Am thinking of installing the hindle on my RS-S, but i want to know if you can unscrew the silver parts to get them painted?

Hindle owners can we get a close up picture of the hindle?;)

They're riveted on so you have to drill them out to take them off but others have painted the heat shields, very doable.

I put mine on and I have to say I liked it just the way it was! Didn't want to change a thing. You will love the new exhaust note and the bit of boost in overall performance. I Just love it!! :D

I just had the front heat shield re-riveted on mine as it worked loose and was rattling something fierce. I have also been thinking about painting them, just don't know what color yet.

I've seen some cool pictures of colored heat shields, for some reason it really stands out as different/special.

I've had mine redone and my wife's exhaust has been done twice and it's loose again. If the dealer didn't keep doing it for free I'd do something about it but for now, it's his problem :D

can i do it myself? if yes any suggestion where to get the pearl white color from?

Thanks alot for the feedback guys, really helpful info:thumbup:

That will be a tough one, that paint is pretty unique. They call it Vegas White BTW. You might be able to get it from BRP, but probably not in a spray can, you'll have to air gun it. And I do not think it is high temp rated either...

hindle

If you want a good job ,you'll want to get it powder coated in your pearl white. I live in CALI near you .Check out Beach Cities Powder Coating. Gardena, Ca 90249 310-771-8282

If it became necessary to change out the rivets I would use stainless steel bolts and nuts.....

So you have a handy trick for getting them in there? That is a very small space they need to fit in, and I couldn't see me being able to put nuts and bolts in there. :dontknow:
