• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Last Saturday, I stopped at a friends house after riding the :spyder2:about an hour. The outside temp was probably about 99 heat index maybe 102, but :spyder2:only had 4 bars during ride
I am in central Texas for location purpose.
Anyway when I went to start the :spyder2:after about a 45 minute vist with my friend, when through the start-up mode, :spyder2:started, but a message scrolled across "check transmission". Bike would not go into ANY gear, and throttle would not rev over 1800. tried several different things. No luck. Finally called Granbury Motor Sports where I bought the :spyder2: and talked to the Tech.
He told me to turn the key off and on 3 times. Did it. Started the bike, message gone and bike went into gear.
He told me sometimes, not often the heat after a ride will not allow the computer to reboot to normal. The key trick will re-boot the computer. He said he had only seen this happen a few times. This is an FYI if it happens to you. And oh by the way, that Tech has my business for being so aware and knowledgeable of this great machine and all the workings of it.:2thumbs:

Thanks for the tip! It's hot as :cus: here...
Feel like I need to start compiling a list of all the tricks of the :spyder2:.
computer re-boot, fault code check,.....

Good tip, although your GPS may still be suspect. I had to use one of the plums in that bag of tricks myself today. Started the RTS and it went straight into limp mode. P0524 low oil pressure code. Using the trick I learned from Kurt at BRP, I revved the engine to 3,000-4,000 rpm for 10-15 seconds, and it reset itself. The leprechauns were busy today!

:agree:
What was the name of the shop for those who may be in that area? It's nice to know of a competent facility for assistance when needed.

Not like it's going to warm up here anytime soon though.... WTF?? The high for the next 10 days is not supposed to be over 86. I guess I'll be saving on heating and cooling this summer.
