What is the highest RPM you have reached with your Spyder.
I hit 10 grand yesterday after work going through a farmers irrigation system shooting over the road. I was creeping through the wet road just behind the spray when it reversed direction and started coming back toward me,:cus:. I looked back and saw motorists speeding up behind me :yikes:. In my haste to get up some speed to get through it I broke the tire loose in first gear, hit second, tire broke loose and then I hit third. As I was picking up speed the tire broke loose again and just like that 10,000 RPM.

That's how I ryde most of the time--- breaking that rear tire loose....:thumbup:

I've hit redline a few times--- then the rev limiter kicks in

The rev limiter is your friend in this case; even though there are times I wish it would allow you to hit 11 or 12 K and not just stop at 10.

I actually hit redline the other day in second when I really hit it hard...

I now know, like many here before me, that when you hit 6k-8k, you really pick up a lot of power.

I tend to try to keep the RPMs lower, but, if you need fast acceleration, don't hesitate to push it up to 6-7k....
