small hole between the spark plug and the head gasket

This is were my oil is leaking, there is one on the front right as well as this back left, the front one was not leaking, it is a small machined hole.

I was told by hicklen that my value cover gasket was leaking and it was a cork gasket both do not seem to be true.

I power washed the engine and am driving it without the body panels SO it really looks like mad max, "REMEMBER THE NIGHT RIDER"

If anyone can tell me what the hell that hole is for and more importantly why it leaking oil and what to do about it.

the bolt/plug was NOT in there but I am testing to see if it will work for this.

Seth I can't tell by the picture however when you say small hole by the spark plug the 1st thing that comes to mind is some bike engines had a hole to allow water to drain from around the plug that would accumulate from washing or rain.

well its leaking oil out and enough to leave a 2 inch spot on the shop floor, I do not know if it was suppose to.

I'm sure it is not supposed to leak oil. maybe there is a gasket that runs through the hole or maybe there is a leak above the spark plu that is just draining through.

Just pulled my covers and looking at the rear head it appears that may be a drain hole. Why it is leaking oil, either some is leaking down around the plug or the plug is loose but really should not be pumping out that much.

changed the oil today, see other post, and no oil leak with the "plug" I have both side panels off mad max style to watch this and see if it leaks anywhere else.
