• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Droid X

When they make that w/ the slide out keyboard, I'll trade my present Droid in for it. I can't do the virtual keyboard - typo typo typos!

Gotta love the DroidX

Ever hear of the Agrument: Ford vs. Chevy?

Well, I have my personal Iphone 3gs AND i have my company owned Droid X.

Honestly the iphone is more fluid, more refined, well thought out.
The Droid, hesitates a lot, seems clunky due to the wide open programming, but the droid does have better camera and video that my iphone 3GS. The screen is bigger. It takes way more actions to make a phone call as compared to the iphone.

I make many more typing mistakes on the droid, using either swype, or the other beta typing program.

Like I said, it's Ford Vs. Chevy.

p.s. full disclosure.... I own a new Ford F150 Lariat. Much better than my old Toyota 4Runner.

Smylinacha, give it a look!

Smylinacha,

I am a big fan of the slide out keyboard too, but one of my business partners has the Droid X (I have the old style) and the touchscreen keyboard on his is nothing short of amazing. Large keys, and very accurate. I would suggest test running one, I think you might be pleasantly surprised. I am considering an update myself.

I had the HTC Droid then it had an accident. I dropped it from about 3 feet face down on concrete. The screen looked like a spider web. Now I have the Droid Incredible. It is an improvement. The camera is really good 8 megapixels. I'm not very good at typing on the touch screen and I really could do without the word finishing feature. I was replying to a message from a friend about renting a houseboat. Instead of saying "a houseboat would be fun" I wrote "housework would be fun."

LOL!!!

Yes, go into Settings and then go to Language & Keyboard - it's in there where you can stop that and you can stop spellcheck too.

When we had Sprint they came out with "Talk to text" and this was a while back and was new. HDX would talk and it would get all garbled up. It was hillarious the things it would actually say and he'd let it stay that way and send the text to Roaddog all messed up. It was funny.

A friend of mine was sending naughty texts to his girlfriend and said: I want to **** your puppy hard". That didn't go too well.

Im not eligible for an upgrade for a while so I won't get one yet. It's got some good features though! Seems whenever I get something, they come out with something bigger and better not long after.

I want a phone that will give me live TV :)
