• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Americade

Sam....

I hope it is a good place. It is hard to tell from pretty pictures but they were helpful on the phone and have acceptable prices for the week.

Sorry you won't be there on Thurs for the Spyder ride rnet has been working so hard on and that you won't have your Spyder! I couldn't go without mine.

We already have a room for Monday and Tuesday but thanks for the offer. We will be up at Americade from Monday until Wednesday Night. If anyone is interested in getting together please call me. 845-629-2702 cell.

Just got off phone with studio motel they had the smaller 2 bed rooms and jacuzzi suites available. $129.00 for the 2 beds and $149 for the jacuzzi suites we are booked in the jacuzzi suite and canceling our room at the roadway inn which was 4 miles outside of town.
Thanks for the info. We will be in Monday afternoon and staying until Thursday morning, as I have to work thursday night.

Just confirmed room with 2 queen beds - that's the good news!

The not so good news (well, not really!), .. my riding buddy talked me into bringing the two-wheelers so we can ride the twisties in that area that one can only do on a motorcycle!!!!!..

Ken, thanks again for the heads up on the Studio Motel. See you there!

Sam
Perhaps both you Guys could do part of the ride on thur. as it is headed south for he first part of the ride. Then I could help you on your way.

:gaah::gaah: Spyders in the shop ! Won't start ! Hope they can sort it out before Americade . Still going with or with-out the :spyder2:.

:spyder2: in the shop since Late Tues. just herd at about 1pm to-day that the wiring harness from the right side ( trunk light, 4 way flasher, kill switch and starter buttons ) is corroded and fused . If parts are not back ordered (:roflblack::roflblack: ) should have it back in 7-10 days. Like I said ,good to go for Americade one way or another . Might miss your ride ,but will hook up for breakfast Thurs. morning. Need to get the whole scoop on that new rear shock your running.

I plan on heading up on 6/11 w/a few friends for the day. It's the day after my 20th anniversary, so I've yet to broach the subject w/the other half :gaah:

FREE MINI GOLFING!

Good Morning fellow Spyderlovers.

I want to extend an invitation to all Spyderlovers that will be in the Lake George area for the week of Americade.

I operate Murphy's Golf Driving Range & Mini Golf in historic Saratoga Springs, NY, just 30 miles South of Lake George. This is one of the oldest mini golf courses in the US and you are invited to stop by for a FREE ROUND on our nostalgic 18 hole mini golf course.

Anyone stopping by on a Spyder or identifying themselves with there Spyderlovers user name will be entitled to this offer, as well as anyone accompanying them.

Who will be the Spyderlovers mini golf champion for 2010?:dontknow:

ESI installs

Evan, can we just stop by to get installs and do the installs cost extra or are they included with the purchase at americade. Thanks, I have had a few ask me.

We will be doing installs from Wed through Sat.

Sorry but installs (some of which take hours to do) are not free.

Quite understandable, now I have to decide what I want. I there a better time to be there from past experiences.

Progressive Motorsports

Don't forget that the closest Spyder Dealer to americaid is just a few miles down the road from Evan's location. My dealer Progressive Motorsports is in Hudson Falls on Route 4. Stop in and say "Hi" to Karen, Scott, Mark and the rest of their crew after you load up on ESI goodies and tell 'um Mike sent ya!

I talked my riding buddy into taking his Goldwing and I'm taking the Spyder after all ...

Will be checking in sometime Monday afternoon - see ya'll then or, Tuesday a.m. ALSO - am really going to try to schedule the ride for Thursday.

Regarding the motel ... I'm also keeping my fingers crossed?! ... The fact I was able to book the room so late and at the regular rate does have me somewhat concerned. Also, internet reviews are mixed. Some of the "glowing" reviews were obviously planted by the owners.

Good to know
Mike, I will definitely do that.

Ron do you have a road by road detail of the route we will be taken on the ride. :ohyea::ohyea:

Yes I do and I will spell it out next week after I correlate four pages of notes.
As I said, but this is not how I wanted to do it, but I can't quite get it right on goggle so here goes the hard way. We will leave Sally's Hen house at 8:30 AM, Thursday the 10th and head north on Rt. 4 through Fort Anne to pick up Rt. 22 south. At mile 48 we will stop to stretch and for those that didn't start full, gas up. Hopefully everyone starts with a full tank of gas, as the first real gas stop is approx. 120 miles. From there we will continue south on 22 till we catch Rt.67 and go west to Rt.67A South and then take a few side roads to see 3 covered bridges and then on to the Bennington Battle Monument. in old Bennington Vt. Tour #1 to the top highly recommended on a clear day to the tallest structure in Vermont. From there we pick up Rt. 7A North and proceed to the Equinox Skyline drive just south of Manchester. This is tour #2 and both of these are optional, but I have arranged a group rate that includes both of these tours a rate of $10 for one or $12 for two. This toll road takes you to the top of Equinox mountain on the steepest privately own road in the east. (And the spyder will have no problem making it.) From there a short ride to gas and lunch on Rt. 11 in Manchester at the sirloin saloon. After lunch we head west on Rt. 11 up into the green mountains to Rt. 100 north and onto Rt. 155 North. A short hoop off 155 to the oldest cheese factory in the western hemisphere for some cheese tasting and if we get there early enough watch the process. Then back to Rt.155 North to Rt. 140 heading west. It is at this intersection we might encounter a detour, but I hope not cause this is one great mountain twisty. If we can get through we will stay on Rt. 140 tell Poultney then go South on Rt. 31 and then west on Rt. 149 in Granville. From there we will proceed to Canal lock 9 and the end of a great spyder adventure. Here we will say our goodbys or plan something for the future, like that night. Maybe a surprise. Anyway I hope we all have a blast and the weather cooperates. Thanks Ron
