I don't think you need to be an owner, just registered for promotions on their website. I may be wrong.

I think they are doing a huge amount of promotion -- on TV, the internet (Yahoo), etc. I suspect they want to drive anyone and everyone they can to the dealers. A free hat costs them $2 or so.

You have it right:2thumbs: but the free hat costs them 11.95 is what they credit back to our parts account for each hat.......so just a little more than 2 dollars. :2thumbs:

rode to dealer today 2 hrs round trip had to get oil and filter anyway, dealer had no idea what i was talking about, they called brp and left message, dealer said they will call me when it comes in then mail it out to me. :dontknow: then i will mail it to spydergirl

I got the mailing the day after I wrote "I didn't get the mailing.":roflblack:

Brought the Spyder down (again) for steering issues and gave my coupon.

The dealer hadn't seen it before.

I took an all black Can-Am Spyder hat The white letters and grey letters are embossed rubber. Stitched red "Y" on the back.

(This sounds silly, but it's comfier on my no-hair head than the other three Can-Am hats I had, Those had nylon instead of cotton threads--ouch!)

I don't know if there's a particular "free hat" that they're supposed to give away...

I got my card in the mail and took it to Myrtle Beach with me when we went there. The parts guy wasn't aware of it, but he took me over to the clothing section to pick out a hat. Unfortunately, they only had the Offset Red and White on like I bought for my wife earlier so I did not get it. I am going to Greenville in a couple of weeks, and depending on the time I have may see if the dealer there has any different hats.
