Tom in NM

Well, the guys, TrickyDick and Irish2themax pulled into Edgewood New Mexico this morning. Gene had to go back, so I missed meeting him.
We rode, ate, rode, toured, rode some more and the guys are in Grants, NM tonight. It seems Gene must have touched Irish's computer and he has been unable to post any progress reports - so for now this will have to do.
It was great meeting them and it was a great day for riding - though, the top of the mountain ride got a bit cold ( there was snow up there ) and the fast ride up to 11,000 feet left us all a little woozy.
Lunch was great and then it was onto the Acoma Pueblo, which was started ( and has been lived in ever since ) the 800s. 1,200 years of history there - talk about feeling like an illegitimate alien.
The guys are doing fine, having a good time and the Spyders were running well (though Irish's really-really-really likes gas).
I did learn, never tell Irish, "OK, you lead the way." Nobody warned me. I know better now.
Sorry for the late post, but I just got back home from the ride. Still smiling.
