• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. spyder is at Dynojet for power commander testing

i got a new o2 sensor installed and it appears they fix the check engine light coming on but it takes a couple of minutes of warming up before the o2 sensor kicks in and it's every time you turn off the spyder, regardless of how hot spyder is. it's running in stock mode till than. they are still working on it thou. oh and juicebox pro is ready to go and will start shipping after next week. jb pro does not have the same o2 sensor as powercommander and had a different issue.

i asked them about a possible group buy and was told they can not do it but he will try to get one of their dealer to participate but i think a lot of people will not benefit much from autotune and having lcd(they also have 70 dollar gauge you can use in place of lcd) if they don't ryde spyder hard as o2 sensor is what's doing the most work. in spyder's closed loop of 40% throttle and 6000 rpm, o2 sensor is only thing at work. power commander itself and autotune only handles what is outside of that loop so if you normally just coast around on your spyder and never goes outside that loop(no hard acceleration, stay below 81mph or whatever your spyder is at 5950 rpm), autotune is not going to help you. in fact, you don't even need pc... o2 sensor is a stand alone item but i don't know if dynojet is selling o2 sensor by itself thou.

Is that a second O2 wide-band sensor that must be mounted with a new bung or does it replace the existing sensor?

Thanks for the update! Of course I am now wondering what the glitch was with the Juice Box Pro, but if they said they got it sorted out that works for me. Hopefully they will be shipping mine very soon, as I ordered it a little over a month ago on April 11. :D I just put a stock air filter back in, as I got tired of the backfires and the sputtering when I gun it started getting much worse.

That is also very interesting to hear your Spyder may actually run much better with just the replacement O2 sensor. I too highly doubt they will sell that as a separate component though.

Best of luck, and let us know how your Spyder keeps running with new system installed.

I'm anxiously awaiting the kinks to get worked out of the Power Commander setup you have... as I'm not thrilled with what the JB has done... just doesn't seem to do enough... I really think I had more power with just increasing my fuel pressure---- but my MPG was terrible.

I'm either going to upgrade to the Power Commander and various gadgets--- or jump up to the Aerocharger with Aerocommander unit.....

i been thinking and i think they would sell the o2 sensor by itself.
if one of those goes bad, wouldn't they sell a replacement?:D
but remember without the power commander itself, if you are out of that closed loop, spyder is going to run in stock mode and terrible.

spyder is running really good except for the warm up time necessary is bit annoying but usually, by the time i put helmet and other gears, it's good to go. spyder sounds awesome especially above 6000 rpm and i was able to get front wheels off the ground for the first time accelerating in straight line. not much off the ground, nevertheless, very very very short wheelie.:D

Good point about having to have replacements available. Getting the front wheels off the ground at all on an SE5 is something I would love to see.

I will just continue to be patient, and then be the guinea pig for the JB Pro. Once I get it set up we can begin comparing notes, and possibly helping others decide which direction they want to go in.

Sorry FireFly, while I would truly love to try out a turbo unit I do not see my wife going for that added expense anytime soon. :gaah:

you got it to wheelie, what kind of rear tire are you running? I would think it would burn like at the drag strip

thanks for the update, I got a email from that dusty

key word is SHORT, very short wheelie.:D i mean tires barely got off the ground but they were off the ground.
normally i just burn the tire but i started to roll very slow and i yanked on the throttle and front wheel lifted up for very short time and came back down. i stopped and tried again but this time, it only came up just enough to front wheels to free up momentarily. same result, just enough to free up the front tires with more tries. if i had a sm5, i think i could get the fronts up higher. i think it was perfect combination of warm tire grabbing real well, perfect road condition and timing but i am afraid that's about good as it's gonna get on se5.

I have a se5 too, that is awsome, if you got a pic it would be the first time I heard that being put on film.

i could not even come close to lifting front tire today...
new o2 sensor they installed is malfunctioning, making spyder run dangerously lean. spyder was running so strong yesterday but was running very lean, hot and weak today. well back to dynojet.

Keep us posted Bro and thanks for testing w/Dynojet I myself am very anxious for them to get this all sorted out. Thanks for the frequent updates.

Ever think of using the O2 mod from Evoluzione instead?

Hi everyone, im sorry to jump in the middle of your guys conversation but i have a question about my spyders hood.

for some reason i cant pop my hood of my spyder.:dontknow: nothing seems to be wrong with it that i know but it is also a new bike for me. its a 2008 roadster.
I was also wondering if anyone could tell me the correct key position to pop the hood.
Thanx so much for reading

you push down and turn to trunk side. (was that left?:opps:)
it did happened to me once and dealer was able to pop it open but i do not know how.

power commander is built around that o2 sensor so idk. when o2 sensor kicks in, spyder is running real good but once it goes out, it leans out bad. anywho, i will take it back to dynojet. he said he had another idea so.

ok... i have tried and for some reason it will not turn in that direction. thats the only way it wont turn... is there anything else that needs to be done while turning the key like(bike running, parking break down)

thankyou for posting.

take off the left side low colored panel (one with quarter turn key) and try pulling on the trunk cable. when i locked my key inside trunk, i got the trunk open by pulling on that cable. take off the upper panel too if that help you see better inside. look for a cable going toward the trunk opening mechanism.

is your trunk full? and may be stuff in there pushing against the hood?
if that happens key will not turn. press down on the hood than turn the key while you push down on it.

ok i will be sure to get back to you for your advice.

but when i take of the panel and then finally pop it, will it stay working. i might need to get a new damn latch?
