• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cell Usage on RT

RT-S PE#0031
I recently completed the installation of the BRP CB/intercom plus entertainment harness. I have also installed my Garmin Zumo 550 & have it running through the aux input jack in the rear trunk. My next project is to see if I can tap into the RT's microphone circuitry to run a line to the mic in jack on the Zumo. I believe, if it is adjustable, I could then talk over my cell phone while riding.

Has anyone yet done this?

(Please, no thread hijacking to talk about the issues of talk on the cell while driving, thanks)

I do this all of the time. I have my cell linked to the Zumo 660 and when a call comes in, it comes up on the gps to answer or ignore. It then links thru my Scala to my helmet. All hands free so no distractions...

I'm kind of interested in this too. I was thinking of making a jumper to go between the plug and recepticle that could plug into the cell phone. Using the jumper to tap into the mic and speakers. My wife has used her bluetooth earbuds/mic with her full face helmet and it's worked out pretty well.
