• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mirror Extensions

Installed the ESI mirror extensions, and the right one vibrates at certain rpms so much that is almost useless. Everything is as tight as I can get it. Spoke with ESI and they said that is just the way some bikes are regarding vibration. Any suggestions?

Im at work so cant see my bike, but if you can get internal/behind the mirror, or somewhere hidden on the extension or stalk, maybe taping a lead weight or something else to change the harmonics.

I would double check the following step. If the nubs and slots aren't lined up, the mirror extension will vibrate.

12) Place mirror extension into base bracket. Replace bushing, being sure to align locking nubs in base bracket with locking slots on extensions. Replace torx bolt and tighten in place.

My ESI extensions vibrate less than the stock mirrors. But something I found out this weekend that you may want to look into. I had my belt tension changed per the service bulletin that came out recently. Even though at 1400 Newtons it was still in specs, they changed the tension all the way down to 450 Newtons. Wow, what a difference in how much vibration I feel on the spyder. The ride is smoother and everything just feels better. Your belt could be way too tight and causing an unusual amount of vibration. Also, I have Ride On in my front tires and need to add to my new rear to help smooth things out as well. Just some alternatives to look into.
