There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. MISSOURI RENDEZVOUS

It is getting closer and we are getting excited. Can't wait to see everyone. I think we are leaving on Thurs. late afternoon to get a few hours knocked off the trip so that Friday we will be fresh upon arrival. I may have a hotel on Thursday for a penny, that would be great. Can't wait to see everyone again and to meet the new folks. What a great time this will be. I saw the cuba press release and the article about the murals. That is so cool. This time next Friday, we should be on the road headed your way.

I think I'm changing my route and taking 69 down... traffic on 80/90 and then 55 or 57 can be a nightmare. 69 is usually pretty tame as far as traffic goes.

We'll have to compare notes and times and see which works best.....

As many times as I have driven through St Louis and Cuba on my way to Tulsa, I have always taken I-69 down. Not a bad route, just make sure you go around Indianapolis, not through it. Usually going the north loop is better but check for construction before you go. We may still go that way as well, nothing is definite yet. I know I dread the southern side of Chicago and going through Gary, IN for traffic but we are going to try to time it so we don't hit rush hour. I have never taken that route to St. Louis so we thought we would do it just to switch it up a bit. Also, it all depends on if I get my room for a penny or not. I am a Red Roof Inn member and they are having a special but you have to catch the hotel at a certain hour and time to see if they have a room available for a penny. I will be trying various locations and that could determine our route. I know it is silly but hey, if we can save $50 it is well worth it. It will be good to see you there. When are you leaving? Are you driving alone?

Got a call from Gene this morning to rub it in about what a great time you all are going to have.

Terri...do me a favor? When you see Gene...SHOOT HIM so Dick and I can enjoy our trip next month. :roflblack:
You know, I have been trained to hit a bullseye at 500 yds!! :roflblack::roflblack: But I don't think even that would stop SpyderGene from missing yourtrip!!:roflblack::roflblack:

the three of you are taking old rt66 but your missing the begining. why? I know it's the windy city traffic.!!!!!!!!!!! or the bad roads in IL.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: we would really miss Gene if she shoot him. wishing you a good trip.:2thumbs::2thumbs:
love my :spyder2:
You know we would miss him Ben!! He's our :firstplace:  :chat: :spyder2::doorag:

Sounds great Forest!! Don and I may have to go to Cuba on Friday! I'll have to make an AM trip back to IL to grab the rest of the troops!! :roflblack: This is going to be great!!:ohyea:

I was going over possible routes with a good friend that lived in Chicago for 15 years and still drives that way a lot and she said while it may be 'quicker', it's more stress due to the traffic. Best time to go through that area is around 2:00am.

On my way back I might take that way and try and save some time since it's going to be a loooooong day. I'm taking her I-pass just in case....

I'm leaving Thursday after work-- not sure exactly when. Going to get 3 hours in and then stay somewhere. Going to play it kind of loose on the way down.

I think Ron and I are going to leave Thursday too. First I got to get home so I can leave. :D

All-
The Super 8 has rooms available and is offering a 10% discount if you tell them you are in Cuba for SpyderFest U.S.

The Wagon Wheel Motel has posted a welcome to Spyders on their Facebook fan page--they are in the process of renovating, but have a really neat shop that is currently open.
www.facebook.com/pages/Cuba-MO/Historic-Wagon-Wheel-Motel-featuring-Connies-Shoppe/330673145518

We have a Facebook event page set up, but will be prettying it up this weekend and I'll post that before the end of the weekend. We'll use this to post pics, status updates and video throughout the weekend!

Also--CubaMOMurals is on Facebook and Twitter.

The local paper will be running something in this weeks paper to let the town's folk know we will have an infestation of Spyders and they don't have to call the exterminator. There will also be media coverage of the weekend itself.

We'll have banners up around town!
welcome

May I make two suggestions for this event:

1) Post in advance a couple of key cell phone numbers, in case someone gets lost, changes plans, has mechanical problems or other emergency.
Perhaps Gene and a CowTown contact, at a minimum.

2) Can we get name badges, simple stick-on labels and a marking pen would be okay.

Thanks.

I have asked the same thing about Some Guy?? Are you coming? He hasn't answered me either yet?? Playing games with the Bee here :lecturef_smilie:

We shall see :2excited::2excited::2excited::2excited::2excited::2excited::2excited::2excited:
Sorry B...
Work is pretty hectic right now. :gaah: I will be going to Chicago with Firefly in June and we'll also be in Gatlinburg again this year. :D

Gary good ideas

Ms. Virginia will have stick-on name tags for our SPYDERLOVERS alias's
Friday night at the Holiday Inn and Saturday at registration. You will also get your real name tag lanyard for comparison.
Now instead of asking
WHO'S THAT LADY IN THE RED DRESS
She will have her alias and real name for quick ID

Phone numbers
Holiday Inn 573-885-0100
Len at Cowtown 800-258-6898
Gene's cell 314-541-5969

Holiday Inn normal check in time has changed to when spyder riders arrive.
unless housekeeping has not finished.-----In that event a secure room will be set up for luggage you may want to drop off.

Wheeler yep its Thursday-----so leave now----its easier to wait here than at home.

SomeGuy's priorties ------
stay home and work are come to the Rendezvous and play.
How hard is it to decide.
Firefly you need to talk to him.

Len, I can't thank you and Gene and the rest of the Missouri Express for the even you have planned. It has really blossomed and I am so happy to be a part of it. I just pray that the weather is cooperative too. Regardless, it will be a great time though.
