I couldn't make this stuff up if I had to.:roflblack:
This happened in our little town of Battle Creek Michigan:
Evans, 79, charged with robbing bank
The evidence against a 79-year-old man from Battle Creek in a Feb. 13 bank-robbery case includes what police say is a note reminding him to rob a bank.
Donald Evans could be sent to prison for life after being charged Monday with robbing the Independent Bank at 2151 W. Columbia Ave., near the Meijer Inc. store, last month.
He was arrested Friday after Battle Creek police received a tip about his possible connection to the robbery and stopped his car. Police said they found evidence connecting him to the robbery during a search of his home and car, including a note on a tax return envelope that said "rob bank."
Evans told jailers he needed money for alcohol, gambling and women, authorities said.
Police have not recovered any of the approximately $4,000 taken from the bank.
Evans told Magistrate David Barnes he is retired. He has convictions from 1987 for assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
"He robs a bank and in doing so violates the trust of the community," Assistant Prosecutor Brandon Hultink told Barnes during an argument for a high bond.
Barnes set bond at $100,000 and ordered Evans to appear for his preliminary examination on March 8.
