• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Which one is a better Performance air filter system?

There are currently 4 after market options for air filters that I am aware of.

KewlMetal Performance Air Intake System

Evoluzione Race Airflow System

ESI Green Filter

K&N CM9908

I cannot say which one is the best. I decided to go with the K&N replacement filter. Many on here are using the ESI filter. I do not recall reading any negative reports about any of these products.

Just be aware that if you change the air filter, and the exhaust system, you may need to purchase a set up like the Two Brother's Racing Juice Box to complete the performance puzzle.

Both the KewlMetal Performance Air Intake System and the Evoluzione Race Airflow System are in a totally different category than the 'high-flow' filters.

Main complaint about them is the increased noise--- which is very noticable.

The high-flow filters are very popular and don't increase the noise much, but won't give the same punch as the more expensive options.

I have the Evoluzione Race Airflow and really like it --- but had the Kewlmetal one been out at the time I very well may have gone with it.

Evoluzione also makes a permanent filter that does not require oil like the Green and K&N filters do. I love it. Rinse, Dry, Reuse.

Sounds like a good way to go. I have also been contemplating getting a juice box for mine as well.

Get one...it's the coolest mod. and you can play with it until you get exactly what you want out of it...

I'm still adjusting mine being I'm not riding much right now. There was a difference when I got my hindle...then another difference when I got my green filter...when I added the JB, it was a tremendous change in performance, and mileage, I believe...

I will probably end up getting one before too much longer.

I really enjoy the JB...it's one of the mods that you can play with...it doesn't just 'sit there' and do its thing...it's interactive and depending on how you ride (want to ride), you can change the settings accordingly...

When you install it, attach it with velcro to the underside of the trunk plastic...sit it on the frame...good location so it's out of the way...you won't have to change the settings but for once in a while...will only need to take out the 2 plastic plugs to do so...

I have not seen the operating manual for this yet, but noticed it basically has a plus and minus button. Do you just cycle through the presets until you find the one that works best for you? Does it have settings such as, Better Mileage, Like You Stole It, and so on? When you say under the trunk plastic, are you talking about the black piece that covers the fuse block and BUDS connector?
