• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions - 1st post

I've been lurking the forum for over a year or so... Thanks to all for the posts about the good and the bad... Have to admit it - I'm slightly obsessed with getting my own :spyder2:.

Just about ready to purchase - so currently, here's my local options for a Phantom Spyder:

1) 500+ miles for just under $15k - Phantom limited edition (2 yr warranty)
2) new 2009 - use $1,500 (Can-Am promotion) to add Phantom kit
3) used 2008 with Phantom kit with 8,000+ miles for $11.5k

Any advice much appreciated...

Bitten

I didn't see anyone else write this, unless I missed it:

Take a test ride on one first. Preferably the demo unit you intend to purchase.

Good luck.

Thanks again everyone! Went for a great test drive today!
The :spyder2: will be delivered this evening to my house...

As for the guitars, only the middle three are mine. The three on either side belong to my fellow bandmates. Not that it is our complete collection - two of us used to be endorsed by BC Rich, now we're just obsessed with them...

Cool. I love guitars and used to like the BC Rich designs back in my younger years. What groups have you played in over the years and what is the band's name now?

My old band was called SKWEE-G - we were together from 1992-2002. You'd probably only know us if you lived in Dallas or listened to the Lex and Terry radio show.

My current band is RIVETHEAD. Our music has been on Octane/Squizz - Sirius/XM, The Lex and Terry radio show, MTV - Road Rules v Real World, Oxygen - Bad Girls Club, National Geographic, TLC/Discovery and a few other places including Dallas Stars NHL games in Dallas.

We have played with Drowning Pool, Powerman 5000, BlackStone Cherry, Crossfade, BILE, Saliva, Mushroomhead ...

Sounds good. I've gotten away from the heavy metal sounds lately but I would have listened to this a few years back.
