There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. A Saturday on the new RT

The wife and I spent Saturday tooling around town on the new RT and Victory Cross Country. I must say, the RT is such a comfortable ride. I could definitely see myself on one at some point, I do ride my spyders, but when we head out for a longer ride, I ride my bikes. I know all you RT owners know this, but for the RS owners, the RT is really a totally different riding experience than the RS. The RT is a great machine. My one complaint so far is the body roll/steering coupling. I stiffenend up the front shocks all the way and that helped. I think some really high quality front shocks will help big time. My other issue was that mine is leaving little green puddles on the ground...so we dropped it off at the dealer Saturday afternoon when we were done riding. Also, I tried to top off the coolant bottle Saturday morning before heading out, just because I knew it was leaking, and I could not for the life of me get the coolant bottle cap off! It's hard to reach, I could turn it to the un-lock position, but when I tried to pull it up it was really stuck good and would not come up for nothing!!! I let the dealer know about that as well so I wll be interested to see what they do about that one! Overall we have a really nice ride and I didn't let the little green drips bother me! I could see the coolant bottle from inside the wheel well and I had plenty of reserve.

Great pic.:doorag:

The cap on that bottle is a booger for sure. It's the same on the RS and if you don't have it locked in it will leak and get hot.

My RT is heading back my way but it's still pretty darn cold around here. I'm thinking I'll be riding it to Daytona in a couple of weeks. I hope the weather changes by then.

Glad you got a ride in. Around here it would be nice to just know there is earth and pavement under all that white stuff.

Our dealer's demo had the dreaded green drools, too. Hard to get at the bottle to check it. Pulling a plastic rivet to do so is very inconvenient, and lots of folks may not check coolant level regularly as a result.

That was one of the first things I suggested they changed at the Dealer Show. I wanted to look at the tank but none of us had anything to pop the cover off with. As you can see that never got changed but you could replace that pin with one of the pins that sticks up and needs no tools to access. That's what I plan on doing.

Congrats on getting to spend some time on the new ride! If the white stuff ever goes away and the temp improves, I hope to spend a lot of time on mine. Those are two great looking bikes.:congrats:

Hey Lamont are they giving you this 001 model to keep or just let you use it again for a while again. They should give you one for free for all the time and effort you have put into this great web site and work you have done to help get the word out on the Spyder, thanks to you and your web site and all I have learned it made me decide to buy a SE5 Spyder.

new rt

Matt,

I'm glad to see you got the new rt in. I know your going to load it up with Kewl options. Can't wait to see what all you come up with. Ride safe and talk to you soon.

I'm pretty sure I'll have the option to buy it at the end of this program but I like your idea better. :D

Hopefully I'll see you there Lamont. Guess it'll depend on what the dealership finds out and their fix. Let me know what day/s you are going to be there and hopefully everything will work out.

I sure wish I could be in Daytona with all you guys and my toys. I just don't think it's in the cards this year. I really love Daytona bike week because I used to live in Florida back when I was a motorcycle mechanic so being back there surrounded by bikes makes me feel 18 again.
