• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NHTSA Campaign 26V575000 - 2025-2026 Spyder RT, F3, & Canyon freezing cluster fix issued

I down loaded the update while the bike was not running with my small charger hooked up. It down loaded OK but the "Install Update" box was grayed out. I shut the ignition off as the battery terminal voltage was 11.9 and left it on the charger for an hour. Came back and tried the update again and it was grayed out still. Started the bike and it finally allowed me to perform the upgrade. No surprises other than it did change the audio output to speakers vs. headset that I always use.

If you don't use the USB A port for data, or perhaps Bluetooth connections, you might be OK.

The problem with the display going dark might be extremely dangerous, so at some time you might have to bite the bullet, put the wooden hammer away, and take it to the dealer.

Whole reason I bought a 2024 was for ACP since I moved cross country and the navigation is a huge bonus for me. It's not so much as it goes black, but if freezes up. No speedometer, no odometer, no gear indicator, etc. Losing ACP is secondary although still highly annoying. I then either have to pull over, shut down bike, restart and hope it works the next time or continuing riding for 20 minutes at which point it usually crashes and reboots the head unit.

The few updates I have gotten to work before it seemed to require the engine to be running to have sufficient voltage. Which I'm fine with, but I can't get past the "no update found", even with the engine running. I am still thinking they are slow rolling the update just in case there's any issues they don't brick everyone at nearly the same time. I will just keep checking every day for a week or two and if it still doesn't show up I'll think about going to dealer. I'd almost rather just deal with it until I *have* to take it in, like for a new tire or something.

Also, contacting Can-Am is pointless. I wrote to see if they can confirm that the update is being rolled out in stages.
First they said just take it to dealer. Then 2nd email they said my VIN isn't part of the recall. But when I go to Can-Am's VIN recall checker page and input my VIN, the recall notice shows up as expected. Sigh.

It did that to me with the bike on the Battery Tender. I even checked the battery voltage before I started and everything was fine.

So, I turned the bike off, took the key out and away from the bike and left it for a couple of hours while I went and got my COVID and Flu shots.

Came back, turned it on and everything completed just fine.

Did about 120 miles last Sunday with the new update installed, no real issues except - I tried to access my distance and mileage via the trip odometers while riding, and the miles per gallon read perfectly, but everything else was wrong. I got home, shut everything down, then restarted because I was going to reset both trip odo's after the ride, and they had registered the info for the day properly. I knew from the regular odometer and my Garmin about how far it should have been. Oh well, we'll wait for another update...

Rode to CC Powersports for the update yesterday, all good now, near as I can tell. Enjoyed a very nice visit with some folks who are riding the wheels off their Sea to Sky.

I ride a 2026 RT S2S and before this update and it was a hit and miss when it came to connecting to ACP. If you lost it in the middle of the ride, you would need to stop, turn off, and restart. Now I can't get ACP to disconnect! While riding down the road, I can disconnect the USB cable from the phone, plug it back in, and reconnects in seconds. Since installing the update, I've ridden about 1k miles, turned it on/off about 30 times, and each and every time it connects. I'm using a 36"cable - no need for the 6"cable. I always thought it was a software issue and not hardware. It took BRP some time to get this right, and this rider appreciates that BRP finally got here.

Everybody mentioning the new update number as V6.1.0, are you sure that is the right version?
Here it's V6.0.1, and I would be surprised if there are two different versions out there??

After doing the September 2026 firmware update has anyone noticed if Apple CarPlay connection issues have been resolved?

Seems better for me with the BRP Advex full face helmet comm system and also with a regular helmet without a comm system with the Green Bluetooth simulator connected in the trunk USB port

Still no update showing on my 2024 with v4.1.0 firmware. Anyone else still not getting the update? I really don't want to take it to dealer.

How close to your modem are you, is it trying to connect correctly?
I use my phone's hotspot, so very close. It connects fine to the hotspot, just always says no update available. I've updated it in the past using my hotspot, so it should work fine. I also have the TMobile backup internet device, and have tried that one too - same results.

So, I did the recent firmware update on my 2024 Spyder RT S2S, and after hearing that others experienced improvement in the CarPlay connectivity, I reconnected to give CarPlay a try once again. Well, interestingly enough it seems to connect properly when I carefully followed to sequence: Turn the key on and wait for it to say phone connected, then plug the phone in, and finally turn on the headset.I took the bike out for a ride and after less than a mile down the road the entire screen went black (a first for me). So I stopped and disconnected and went back to just using my phone and/or Garmin zumoXT.

Anyone else experience this conundrum "after" the update?

Just got recall notice via email. Says OTA was available starting 9/16/2026.

Not being a conspiracy theorist, but since I did report this flaw to NHTSA I wonder if Can-Am has "blacklisted" my VIN just to piss me off even more? Crazier things have happened...
