• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

News at BajaRon's - We Are Moving!

We've had a number of panicked customers come into the shop in the last week or so, wanting to know if we are quitting. Hmm... Sounds pretty good to me… I'm the oldest of 5 in our family. All my brothers and sisters are retired. They call to tell me what they are doing and invite me to come. Then say, 'Oh! That's right! You can't come... You're still working.' Then they laugh.

A few customers have actually been just a bit angry at us!

Anyway, the reason is that we are packing everything up and hauling it away. But we're moving, not quitting. I didn’t know people cared that much!

We will miss the 1950’s gas station, but we have long since outgrown the 2 buildings we now occupy, and the cramp is causing us to turn business away. For example, we have had the front end laser alignment system for over 2 years. But with nowhere to put it, it has remained in the original container untouched.

The new accommodations are a little over twice the square footage. I will actually get my own office! (Well, it’s a closet, but it’s big, and I can call it an office if I want to).

Paige will get her own office. She gets a window, I do not. Frankly, I think it borders on elder abuse. I’ll have to look into that.

And Eliza gave Daniel a brand new baby girl!

I may even have room for another mechanic! Maybe we could cut down on the wait time. We'll see. It's a mess right now. But organization should be better with enough space. We were storing tires on top of the office, and packing material on top of the bathroom. Change always creates challenge. But things should get better in a hurry.

Congrats to Eliza and Daniel!!

I'll be making a trip over there to the new place to get a laser alignment. Last one was in 2018, I need to get it checked. I was at the first Rally he sponsored there, to hear, "we are planning on starting laser alignment ". But I just found out it never got set up, not yet anyway, it's in a box still!

Sorry that I didn’t get to visit the original location (like the various pics for been there done that''!)

I have never been to BajaRon Garage. I have it on my "want to do" list in the future.

The new place sounds great 👍
