The tow vehicle is a 2012 Toyota Tundra with a 5.7 engine. I towed my last dual axle trailer that was 12 feet long for about 60,000 miles with a variety of vehicles and a variety of bikes, including a Gold Wing, and I didn't have a problem with it. I had a Condor chock about 2 feet from the front of the trailer. Everything worked well. However, since this trailer is longer, I'd like to gain a little more space ahead of the Spyder.Do you have the ability to weigh the tongue and trailer? Shoot for as close to 10% of total trailer weight with the Spyder in it.
Putting it all up front can cause handling issues. I just weighed my Canyon, as I am working on this issue my self.
The Canyon weighs LF 310 lbs, RF 310 lbs, rear is 444 lbs, so math puts it a roughly 60/40 on weight bias to the front. I would bet the RT is about the same.
I am loading this and an F3 on an 18ft trailer. My RV is very picky about tongue weight. I have more calculating to do yet. What are you towing with?
Wow, over a 1,000 lbs. That's about 100 lbs heavier than I would have thought. The weight balance would seem about right. From that I wonder what my Sea to Sky really weighs then? Unfortunately my bathroom scales don't go up to 400 lbs.Do you have the ability to weigh the tongue and trailer? Shoot for as close to 10% of total trailer weight with the Spyder in it.
