• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Can BUDS (or anything) change the Throttle effort on a Spyder?

Can buds or some other kind of equipment change the throttle effort on the rt limited?
Well, No. The physical effort, if you are talking about the physical effort, comes from a spring inside the throttle grip assembly. Actually, if you remove the end cap from the right hand grip, you can see it. But No, don't screw around with it, because you want it to reliably return to idle if your hand comes off the grip in a crisis situation.

Instead, there are a multitude of accessories out there that will make the physical effort easier - such as foam grips, throttle assists, etc, as well as electronic devices which give you more throttle opening based on the amount that the grip is twisted. BUDS cannot change that, either. Go to the Lamonster Garage web site and type in Throttle Grips into the Search field. You'll see what's out there. Personally, I run the Leather Like Grips. And while you're in Sturgis, you might just find a vendor that can take care of that for you.

One of the after market products like PedalBox or Pedal Commander won't change the throttle spring tension, nor will they increase the ultimate performance, but they will reduce the amount of angle you have to twist the throttle in order to open the throttle bodies.

They work by intercepting the information from the throttle assembly to the ECU and fool the ECU into thinking the throttle is twisted further open more for a smaller angle. Ultimately though, wide open is wide open at the throttle bodies.

From what I understand is that pre-2024 the throttle body is an analogue voltage and for 2024-2026 the throttle body is a CanBus unit, though I may be very wrong on this score. Either way, you are just fooling the ECU into seeing the angle of the throttle twist grip to be further open than it physically is.

By reducing the angle for a corresponding throttle body opening you may find the less of an angle you have to rotate the less the strain on your wrist.
