Bar Risers, GPS Mount, Phone Mount, Cup Holder, Seat Pads/Seats, Etc. to your preference.
Blind Spot Mirrors. Mounts on top of mirror housings. Cheap, adjustable, unobtrusive, and they work.
Frunk: A cheap backpack from Sierra etc works great in the front trunk. More convenient that the 1 and 2 piece fitted liners, and can be used off of the Spyder (I try to avoid "single purpose" tools). I have tools in a separate zip bag that sits in bottom of the trunk.
Saddlebags: Two 6-pack sized soft coolers fill one saddlebag. One cooler has jump starter, compressor, tire kit, bungees, jumper cables, first aid kit, etc.; and the other for use as a cooler. Other saddlebag has a repurposed Eclipse tail bag for clothes (fits perfectly), or is used for bulky stuff like shoes (i have size 14 feet...yeah, fills the hole saddlebag).
Tail Trunk: Two other 6-pack sized soft coolers in the tail trunk. One has the daily ride stuff, the other for miscellaneous like chargers/cords, wind pants, Leatherman tool, etc. The "coolers" fit in the front of the trunk, leaving rest of the space for gloves, hats, wind shirt, maps, Gazetteers, microfiber towels, lightweight bike cover, heated gear, etc.
Highly recommend these for maps, glasses, wind shirts, bungees, straps, cords/chargers, etc. Trust me, you will find a use for them.
The 3 Poly Zipper Bags are designed to organize small parts and tools. In three assorted sizes and colors, each bag has a mesh window to view contents, and has a sturdy zipper with an easy pull tab. The bags also feature a metal grommet and can all be held together by a carabiner (included)...

Frees up space for a dry bag. For longer trips I use a Moose Racing 60 liter bag, for 1-2 nights their 25 liter bag works great. Will add the 40 liter bag to the mix when I can find one.
A most important thing before any road trip: A detailed packing list. I have a standard "check off list" that I start reviewing the week before the trip. This allows me to make sure I have everything, can make changes specific to the trip, and minimize last minute "Oh, S**t" moments. I also carry a small note pad during the trip to note items I want to add/delete to/from the list.
Once your basics are covered, then the usual upgrades as needed: Shocks, Brakes, Tires...
Bit of a long rant here, but for anyone new to Spyders and/or road tripping, I hope this helps.
