• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Scored a 2023 RT today!

Wife and I are planning a ride from Utah to Yellowstone again for next year.

Probably aim for a little later in the season as a few weeks ago I was reading of weather related road closures in the park.

Not sure how well the Spyder will handle snow, but I’m pretty sure not well especially on the park’s roads.

We love Yellowstone.

Congratulations on acquiring a nice Spyder.

Congrats on the new ride. And as for living that close to Yellowstone - and I mean this in the nicest possible way - You Suck! Yeah, I'm jealous.

Hope to see you on the road.

Congrats! You live in a biker's playground and the Spyder will do well there. Note that the RT range is shorter than most tourers so gas up often.
Also, riding in snow on a Spyder sucks! Between single rear wheel drive plowing the fronts and trying to ride in the car tire tracks up front with rear in the mush.

Ray, I'll definitely try to avoid the snow! Like your pic of Devil's Tower.
Just figured out last night how to "zero out" the trip odometers so it'll be easier to calculate gas mileage and range.
As with all of my motorcycles over the years, a guy learns, “Oh… this is how it wants to be ridden.” I'll get that figured out.
I'll get some thumbnails posted over the next few days.

I'll be happy to meet you in the park - prefer the northern parts around Mammoth to the more "touristy" south. Just let me know when!!!

Yeah. How about a pic from the top of the Bear Tooth.
Have a dentist appt this morning at 10. It's gassed up and ready to head up the Bear Tooth afterwards and heck yes, there will be pics!!

Pumped up - got a blue 2023 RT today!! 8600 miles with all maintenance records. It's in great shape. Will get the title transferred and license plates tomorrow, then ride to Yellowstone. I live 60 miles East of Yellowstone in some great mountain riding areas.

Ok, I'm humbled again! Trying to post pics of a ride into Sunlight Basin and not sure the size is correct.
Got rained out and couldn't make it to the Beartooths. Weather gone bad for the next few days and when it clears up I'll defo get back up there.

Lots of twisties; 20 and 30 mph posted. I was taking them at ~35 to 50 when I could. Don't think I'd describe the RT suspension as mushy, but, with some help from the knowledgeable folk here, I'll be looking forward to discussions about firming it up.

The guy I bought it from is a Harley rider, so of course, he needed to make the RT loud. He put the $600 Thermal R&D cat back from Slingmods on it (check out the middle pic). It has a mellow tone but under load it just drones on and on in my head. Might put the OEM back on and check out the difference.

Yes, I think the stock exhaust is just fine. Makes a nice enough sound of a triple when you wind it on moving up freeway on ramps, then settles back to just engine and induction noise when cruising.

A loud exhaust will just drone and make me have to turn up the volume on my comms link to my wife.

Anything quiet enough to not get the attention of the rozzers is fine by me.
