• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MadStad RoboBracket Template

I recently purchased the MadStad RoboBracket (by itself) with the intention of drilling my F1 windshield to fit. Problem is they did not include the drilling template and I can't find it on their website. I sent an email to the MadStad support but wanted to see if anyone has a copy on hand?

Thanks!

I recently mounted a Givi shield on the brackets, and the same thing; didn't have the template. I simply took a piece of graph paper and marked their measurements down from the instruction sheet and used that for my pattern. I punched holes in the paper and then used a Sharpie to put a tiny mark on the windshield. Since the curve of the shield will distort the locations, I next placed the bracket under the shield; I re-marked the shield so I would know for sure where to drill the holes. Everything worked great, and the shield is now mounted on my Spyder.

I have a Givi shield and have been wondering if it could be mounted to the Robobrackets. It seems that the Givi needs to be "pushed" into position to get the mounting holes to line up on the :spyder: and the tension helps give the shield its shape. What do you think of the set up (functionality and looks)? I noticed your in MA, so you may not have had much chance to ride - but I'd love to get your thoughts.....
Thanks,

Steve

Send me an email [email protected] and I will send you the PDF document that has the hole pattern diagram. It should be on page 5 of the Spyder user manual you received.

I didn't have to push it into position because of the way I marked the holes. (See previous) The Givi lies nicely against the bracket without any stress against the holes. Because the Givi has a shaded lower portion, it also looks really good, with hardly any part of the bracket showing. I have had the CalSci, but I got a good price on a used Givi, so that's why I used it with the Madstad brackets. Yes, being in MA, I will have to wait a while, but first hint of nice weather and I will have it out; I'll post my impressions as soon as I can!

Mike from MadStad emailed me the template. I have attachment and would upload it but it is 22 kbs and the limit is 19.5... >:/ Gurrrr...

Thanks team mates!
